That being the case, too bad for all my fellow French Canadian as the Blu-ray may end up being the same way, it's horrible translation.

Is there any consideration for digital copies in this set or are the unwashed masses not good enough for digital copies (talkin' to you Lucas - holding back to release them later with more stuff)

Romansh,

The conservation between Obi-Wan and Padme in her apartment starts out as two friends who haven't seen each other in a while, then turns political, but ultimately is about Obi-Wan's worries about Anakin.

He's essentially there to feel out Padme if she knows something about how Anakin's feeling and dealing with the pressure of being caught in the middle between the Chancellor and the Jedi Council.

Within that conversation, Obi-Wan suspects that Anakin and Padme are more than just friends. Padme tries to play it calm about what she knows about Anakin but Obi-Wan sees right through it, but doesn't let her in on the fact that he's figured it out.

The conversation is referenced in the actual film when Padme comes home and Anakin's on the couch, just having another daydream about Padme's death, only this time, he sees Obi-Wan in the dream.

It's not a major scene or anything but it was in the Making of Revenge of the Sith book and I just wanted to see it....just like I wanted to see the original cut of Anakin's Force choke on Padme. It was harsher than the version we got. If I remember correctly, he tossed Padme....

Seriously? Are we now demonizing Lucas for not including Digital Copies?

Even though so few people actually use them. And it would turn a 9 disc set into a 15 Disc Set?

I honestly hope you're being facetious. I almost never expect Digital Copies in these big boxsets.

Do we have any news about any retailers having 'special discs' or any other 'special goodies' yet?? That could surely make me cancel my pre-orders (one from AMZ and another from DD).

i am happy there are no digital copies. i think that is the lamest bluray marketing gimmick out there - "2 disc special edition" where one is just a digital copy of the movie. or worse, the walmart "3 disc" exclusive where it is a bluray, dvd and digital copy. the studios should make the digital copies available for download instead of wasting our time with another disc that is useless to a lot of people.

Agreed. There's already some studios that do that. Where you get just a slip with a code and you download them.

It's a lot better option than just tossing an extra disc for each film in the box. Especially for box sets.

Especially since they're effectively useless once you use them or you allow them to expire.

I would hope the OP wasn't really bashing Lucas for not including Digital Copies, seems silly to me. It wouldn't turn this into a 15 disc set at all. Just need to include a slip of paper in each box with a download code for each film (see the LOTR extended editions as an example).

I can understand at this point a Digital Copy of the films as being expected in the set. Most films released today do include them and it is sort of the norm in the blu ray market. So, its not entirely crazy to expect DC to be included (not to mention how inexpensive it is to offer them, and it would also open up another market to sell the films for 10 bucks each on itunes for those not buying the set). But one just needs to read the specs and will know they aren't coming with this set. Oh well. This shouldn't be a deal breaker for anyone (you can also make your own DC...just saying...)

Yeah, but most studios still prefer including a disc. Hell, the Theatrical LOTR set did.

But yeah, certainly not a deal breaker at all. It certainly wouldn't stop me buying the set.
Since I do use the Digital Copies on my laptop, so I have something to watch when I'm not home.

Anyway, I can't wait to get my mitts on those Deleted Scenes.

Glad the Jerjerrod vs. Vader scene is there. Been wanting to see that ever since the very first screen cap of it showed up.

Lightbulb Star Wars topic-specific threads?

Like everyone here, I am eagerly awaiting my Complete Saga set and am currently rewatching everything SW I have to help me better enjoy the upgrade to BD in a month .

But my eyes just glaze over when I see the myriads of posts building up in this single thread each day and I have given up using search to try and re-read an interesting post from someone a few days back -- too much work .

Suggestion: I would start a separate thread for SW blu-ray topics that might be of interest to a smaller, specific group who might not be aware they need to sift through this thread to find your topic. For example, I might have started a new thread for Star Wars French-language features discussion (great topic, useful info to share on subtitles, dubbing, terminology, etc.) or SW Complete Saga Bonus Features Discussion. Having a few threads on specific topics might also alleviate a bit of the anger when generalist SW fans arrive here and find all of the nitpicking somewhat annoying. Just a suggestion. Now, back to the lightsabre color-bashing

Just saw a Star Wars advert on youtube showing some new stuff, it was a google ad so couldn't capture it, first time I have never skipped an ad on you tube!

It showed the international set with a brief flick through of the booklet that accompanies it (same as US box inserts).

Also showed a snippet from the spoofs with Darth Vader putting on a golf course green???

Yes the deleted scenes is what has me the most excited about this set aside from all six movies in 1080p of course. On the note of Digital Copies, I like them, I have an 80GB Ipod classic video JUST for movie when I ride the gray hound and trust me those movies come in real handy. As for Star wars though, not a problem for me already got those on my ipod, first movies to go on in fact, so not a big deal there for me but I can see it being a disappointment for some. Not a deal breaker but a disappointment.

So I must have read the original news wrong it is not 45 deleted scenes it is 45 minutes of deleted scenes is that correct? Either way it still seams like something is missing.

Thanks for the link. I missed that one as I was gaming yesterday.

Very cool. The C-3PO turn-around makes me hope there's turn-arounds for all the characters.

And never seen that Vader on the Golf Course thing before. Makes me think the Parody Documentary will be awesome.

YES! It has the Spike TV commercials they show when they do their Star Wars marathons!

I LOVE those! I've only ever seen the Ewok, Boba Fett and Vader ones, but there are quite a few more on YouTube!

We don't get anything like that in UK, perhaps the spoof documentary might be worth some time?
