Lucas will continue to milk Star Wars until he's gone but it won't be the films. It'll be the television series and video games that's going to get the milking.

I honestly think this set is it...unless he really sees the benefit of releasing the films on 3D home video.

I doubt that since its a blu-ray. If they had a sony exclusive game that probably would have been included.

He will, and I don't blame him for it.Why set him up as some money-grabbing demon? The option is out there,it's up to the consumers to choose. He even let us have the option of buying the two separate trilogies or the whole thing. If he wanted it to,he could have removed that option.Sure there would have been uproar, and rightly so,but there are others who would do it.

3weeks until it happens

No. That sounds like some fan made nonsense. We already know what the deleted scenes are. There might be a few more featurettes or hidden features that weren't on the confirmed list but don't expect much more.

Possible. Maybe there was one deleted scene not mentioned on the list, which would classify it as incomplete, I haven't read any more than this. At least the confirmed deleted scenes are interesting.

I've been very excited for the star wars complete saga on blu-ray disc since it was announced last August 2010 at star wars celebration 5. So I'm looking forward to the blu-ray box set. And what is the deal with some of these bloggers bashing the star wars saga on blu-ray and GL? Do they have nothing better to do my goodness where does it end? And also I'm tired of some fans saying GL is miking the release of the blu-ray's over and over again. This is the biggest blu-ray release in the history of the blu-ray format.

I didn't see a picture with that link?
Isn't this just a deposit on the box set?

You can turn that around and say "do you have anything better to do than bash the Lucas bashers." It's true. And you could go a third time with my post. It's an endless loop.

It's alright if you don't share those opinions. But why is such a crime to criticize Lucas? Or this release? I read, oh, about 15 to 30 pages, maybe more, maybe less, that one person left, went back into his hole at The Force Net/Jedi Council Forums, because he couldn't handle the "bashing." I was like, really?

BTW, this release isn't even half of the Alien release. That is why many are disappointed. But considering it is a crime to be disappointed as posted by the new age Star Wars fan community.

If you can't beat them, join 'em. Praise Lucas. His opinions are mine and I will bow down before him. Attack of the Clones is a classic and bad acting and wooden dialogue is not important as long as a story, any kind of story, no matter how poorly it is structured, is told

From Adam Gregorich at hometheaterforum-

"This is true. The Blu-ray release has about 8% more picture area than the previous DVD releases."

"Its going to take a few days to get everything transcribed, but the first wave with pics of all the pages on the packaging, before and after shots showing the 8% increase in picture info, lightsaber fixes and more info will post later today with the first transcript about the overall release. I just want to have a chance to look it over in the AM for typos before I post "

C'mon Guys. Let's try to stay on topic before the Mods bring out the Ban Hammer again.

Really hoping that HTF will post that information today. It looks like minor framing issue from TPM's been fixed also.

Also, Dammit Duffy... you beat me by a few minutes. Oh well, at least it gives people more to talk about.

When Jabba left his palace to move on to the balcony I noticed two guards standing far left and right on the 2,40:1-Image. Later on VHS (the widescreen-release, of course) as well as on the following release on DVD this material was missing. Don't get me wrong: Not the scene was missing but the part on those two vertical sides of the image as though the picture of the home releases were slightly cropped at those two sides and therefore would not show the entirety of the filmed footage. So my Question is: Will we get the whole of the 2,40:1-Image as seen in theaters?

The TPM will probably be with 2.35:1 AR to be in match like the other movies of the saga etc.(2.35:1)

LOL

Here is some more info to talk about too-

The following is from Morn at neogaf-

"Sounds like Bill Hunt is impressed, from his Facebook:"

Quote:
is more excited for the Star Wars Blu-rays now than he was before, which was not much. Looks like at long last they might have gotten it right. Report Monday on The Bits.

Quote:
At the very least, they've fixed a lot of the A/V problems of the 2004 DVDs.

Quote:
Tomorrow night. Color timing fixed. Light sabers fixed. Ep 4 5.1 rear music channels fixed. Trumpet fanfare at start of Death Star attack fixed. Deleted scenes pretty awesome.

Quote:
A/V details seem to have actually been sweated by someone. Not a perfect or ultimate set, but perhaps the best since the 1994 laserdisc definitive box.

Quote:
No original cuts. Not exactly the 2004 DVD cuts either. 2011 BD cuts.

Quote:
No original cuts. Seriously, nobody can reasonably expect those at this point. But at least all the problems of the 2004 DVDs fixed.

Quote:
I can confirm that there are at least some further tweaks. Don't know what they are outside of probably Episode I digital Yoda.

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost...&postcount=669

Can anybody confirm this, as I cannot find Bill Hunt's Facebook Page!

Wow. Sounds like Bill Hunt really got blown away by what he saw.

And good to finally have some confirmation of additional tweaks. Though still no 100% word on Digital TPM Yoda.

The only serious un-tweak I'd like to see is going back to the "You're Lucky You Don't Taste Very Good" line from ESB. It's the only change that I didn't really care much for. Since it was only done because the sound elements for the original line were in worse shape. But maybe they managed to fix or find a better element for the original line with this new sound mix. It's not a major make it or break it deal though.
