They're not captures from the DVDs or BLU-Rays. They are images supplied by Lucasfilm of the work that was done.

Oh well. It's what is on the discs that really counts and it's beginning to look like that is going to be pretty impressive. Just a few more weeks!

Not a deal breaker, but they could have done better on the artwork (but I'm not buying it for the artwork ).

Those are the two that you listed that bug me the most, especially #4.

If they can remove the slug, then surely they can remove those.

1) Luke's lightsaber during the Falcon scenes. On the DVD, the outer glow changes from green in one shot, to white in another, then to blue in the last.

2) The Emperor's hologram in "Empire". Will they be using the 2004 version, or has it been reshot to match with "Jedi"?

3) From what I've seen, the square panels on R2-D2 seem to switch from blue to black in some shots, and vice versa.

4) In many 2004 shots during the Death Star battles in "New Hope" and "Jedi", you can clearly see matting boxes around the TIE Fighters, as well as a few Rebel ships.

5) In "Sith", Anakin speaks to Padme on Mustafar about his actions. His lips say, "I've done things no Jedi ever has, and I've done it for you, to protect you". However, his voice says, "I'm doing things no Jedi ever has, and I'm doing it for you, to protect you".

6) Obi-Wan's line to Anakin, "only a Sith deals in absolutes", doesn't make any narrative sense at all, since the Jed are pursuing absolute justice against the Sith. Has it been altered, or removed?

7) Has the longer "scuffle fight" scene between Obi-Wan and Anakin been restored, explaining why each of them have the other's lightsaber in a few shots?

8) Will the issue of Leia's memories be addressed in the new edit, since Luke specifically asks about her "real mother"?

9) Some of the face replacement shots for Christopher Lee and Ian McDiarmid don't look too good in "Clones" or "Sith"; have they been updated?

10) What is the current status of the "cockpit transparency" issue, presented during the Battle of Hoth?

11) Will Anakin's metal arm at the wedding in "Clones" be replaced with the more detailed version we see in "Sith"?

12) Will Obi-Wan's "ghost form" be kept consistent in color, between "Empire" and "Jedi"? There's some shots where he almost looks blue, and others where he's simply surrounded by a white glow.
some of these don't stand a chance.

11) Will Anakin's metal arm at the wedding in "Clones" be replaced with the more detailed version we see in "Sith"?

absolutely not, wasn't a mistake, why would they touch it, a significant amount of time passed between 2 and 3- he got a new arm...

8) Will the issue of Leia's memories be addressed in the new edit, since Luke specifically asks about her "real mother"?

seriously?? it was just bad writing, if he feels the need to fix that, he might as well just rewrite the entire PT- or maybe her connection to the force gives her memories- but really its just bad writing

7) Has the longer "scuffle fight" scene between Obi-Wan and Anakin been restored, explaining why each of them have the other's lightsaber in a few shots?

again, just laziness from lucas- he could have just edited it well to begin with- this won't be fixed-

3) From what I've seen, the square panels on R2-D2 seem to switch from blue to black in some shots, and vice versa.

long standing issue- they were filmed with black versions to counteract the effects of shooting on blu-screen

5) In "Sith", Anakin speaks to Padme on Mustafar about his actions. His lips say, "I've done things no Jedi ever has, and I've done it for you, to protect you". However, his voice says, "I'm doing things no Jedi ever has, and I'm doing it for you, to protect you".

lazy lucas again, i guess he just felt the audience wouldn't catch it

some of your other points are valid, guess we'll see!!!

8) Will the issue of Leia's memories be addressed in the new edit, since Luke specifically asks about her "real mother"?

All she remembers is images and feelings. And she's a Skywalker. You know, strong with the force.

Yoda: "Through the Force, things you will see. Other places. The future…the past…old friends long gone."

She's mistaking visions and emotions she's picking up through the force as memories. It's not a plot hole or mistake.

It's not laziness. Stuff like this happens all the time in film editing.

Just like Vader with Luke's lightsaber during the Throne Room duel in RotJ.

You can't really fix an error caused by an edit when you cut footage to get the battle to flow better.

Stuff like this happens in every movie because they're made by human beings. And human beings arn't perfect.

They're representations of what did/will appear on the DVD and the BLU.

And my source, the same site where the images were posted. And the same person who posted the report.

I didn't know about the Cropping Issues with the DVD of The Phantom Menace.
the blu-rays look almost as good as the DVDs?

Is that a typo? I sure hope so

Can't wait to see what The Digital Bits and AVS has to say tomorrow. But the HTF report is certainly promising.

i'm sorry, it is laziness, that whole fight was lazy from the get go- if it were pre-vized correctly there wouldn't have had to be as many compromises to make it flow better- as like most of ROTS, that scene is crap due to lucas cutting creative corners in his green screen jungle.

I wonder if they will fix the "jump cuts" in ANH when Luke turns on his saber. The first i can think of is in Ben's hut and the other is on the Falcon.

It seems Adywan was able to fix these in his edits, so I hope Lucasfilm addressed them as well.

Anakin looses his mechanical arm in the Clone Wars series so it's a new one by the time Sith starts.

I hope we get the deleted scene from the theatrical AotC with his flesh hand in the wedding. I think the mechanical one was only shown in 35mm version.

Then we can point out the laziness in just about every film ever made by the goofs and continuity errors in almost all of them. Even the best.

There's also one when Ben ignites his saber for his duel against Darth Vader.

But, I don't know how hey could possibly edit those cuts out and make it look fluid.

So the duel in ROTJ is also crap, because the same error occurs in it.

A cut part of the duel where Vader ends up with Luke's Lightsaber rather than his own.

And pre-vizing something doesn't always mean it's going to flow right once filmed and cut together.

But again, we're getting off topic in this thread. Which is about the Blu-Ray release. So that's my last comment on the subject.

I don't know either, but Adywan did it... so there is a way.

i'm willing to cut most of the best filmmakers a lot of slack because a small mistake in a great film isn't a big deal-

but a mistake in a terrible film- stands out way more to me-
