I am going to carefully remove the discs and place them into individual cases. The packaging will be put alongside my other boxsets. I'm really looking forward to this set.

You shouldn't have to worry about that. My copy of Avatar (Director's cut) has much worse packaging than this set and it doesn't have a single scratch on the discs. Really, don't worry about your discs, they are durable in the sense they can't be scratched up very easily and I am sure they took that into consideration with the packaging. Besides, wait till you get it in your hands anyway, you may like what you see!

Nothing to do with you, but on a side note; Spielberg is the greatest director of the blockbuster era. Not to mention he directed 4 of the most important movies ever made (Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan, E.T. and Jaws). Plus he is a pretty darned good producer too.

Shame as I stopped buying one of the UK's top DVD/BD magazine because the reviewers got weird....
I doubt Empire even has discs to review. However, since they need to get a review in their magazine that is out at the same time as the set they most likely just wrote something up anyways. It wouldn't be that hard with the information that is already out. "OMG it's Star Wars on Blu-Ray. It looks amazing and sounds incredible. Star Wars has never looked or sounded this good. The extras are quite informative and entertaining. The 501st are a great group and spoofs are funny. Too bad older extras weren't ported over. All you completionists keep your older DVDs. Highly recommended."

That's my guess at least.

Blu-rays are incredibly scratch resistant. Shouldn't be any worries with the packaging.

Lucas also bought Ewan a Ducati during production on Menace.

I agree. Scratches shouldn't be a problem. However, if someone doesn't like the aesthetics and design of the packaging and prefers individual or custom storage, that's a different story.

How many people are importing the UK discs? I like that design much better than the US one.

I just saw that, too. It looks a lot better, but I was hoping the color would be more vibrant. It still could be, but it's hard to tell from one still. Overall, I'm impressed!!!

It's not screenshot from BD, it's just an example for publicity purposes.

Lol, great article thanks Ken for posting. Looks like the care and attention we all hoped for has been in place. Clearly the moments site had little to no blu ray footage and was just '04 footage.

My work here is done

And now we know why Star Wars are coming to BD so late - cause they've been working on it for years to deliver us the best Blu-ray experience.

I absolutely can't wait for it.

+1.

Their LOTR reviews were highly suspicious. We're talking about a magazine with reviews for games, that top games journalists can't even get review code for. Porky pies, methinks.

Speaking of quality control..

Lets hope that spelling error gets fixed for the final discs.
