Bit late for an announcement on a release this big to come tomorrow. Oh and as Jeff Kleist said, box sets tend to come out around Christmas so that's when people are most likely to buy them.

"Tend to" doesn't mean "always do" though

Indiana Jones box will sell great regardless of whether or not it is released at Christmas.

Still surprised that LoTR didn't sell a lot better than it did, considering the popularity of that franchise. The price and controversy around the transfer of FoTR may have had something to do with that though.

The most interesting is that it has taken them So many years working on these films. And it makes me wonder just what they were working on? Could it possibly be remasterings of all the films? Perhaps even the OOT? Not trying to raise hopes. Just an interesting question to ask.

That might have something to do with the fact that a LOT of people didn't awnt just the Theatrical cuts and held off on them so they could get the Extended Cuts instead.

It could have something to do with people staying away from it's low rating on Amazon because because of people who were upset that they weren't getting the extended cut first even though there's nothing wrong with the product other than it not being what they want. I think there may be similar ratings for this set if it's confirmed to not be the theatricals although probably not as extreme.

Well I know Lucas wanted to replace Puppet Yoda with CG Yoda in all the movies...so that might have something to do with it. Plus restoration, and may putting together the effects of any deleted scenes that may have needed them, new cast and crew interviews, etc. This is going to be a huge set, so I'm glad they're taking their time to put it all together

Best news I've heard in a long time, Lucas announced the release of Star Wars box set for 2011,can't wait. I'll pre-order once I'm able to do so.

$300 for my favorite 6 movies of all time on Blu-Ray would be nothing...

Shame its the 2004 remasters they were only mastered at 1080p and the colour problems bug me

Honestly, due to the age of these films and how many people already bought these films multiple times on multiple formats, I doubt these movies will come close to Avatar or Dark Knight sales but you never know.

Haha I'd pay some money for it

He was just wondering what was taking it so long to come out so I thought I'd give him some idea of why

I probably pay closer to $100-$200 for the set. I think 300 might be a bit excessive
