I will also be waking up and picking up my set come the 16th Jumpman, I think most fans will getting this regardless.

Still can't get over the No... NoooOOOOooo though. That was honestly favourite scene in the saga skewered right before my eyes

That's debateable. If the score is drowned out in favor of the sound effects (like the 2004 mix), I'm going to be PISSED.

Agreed. The beginning of the Obi-Wan noise is obviously a fan made joke. As is the Vader "noooo."

On the other hand, it's very entertaining watching people go absolutely ballastic everytime a pixel gets shifted somewhere in STAR WARS.

No. Just read the last fifty pages or so for more info.

Apparently, the blus have leaked from China, or somewhere.

I'm not too sure what people are bit**ing and moaning about here is. I just read a few pages here and there. Lots of complaining about whatever Lucas did to these films. If I get any of these it's going to the 1st one (A New Hope) and thats it. I'll be happy thats its finally on Bluray to begin with. My home theater is not great, but I'm happy with what I have. So however it is, I'll be happy. People should be greatful that Lucas took the time and money to bring these to Bluray. Even though there will be tons of people who will complain anyway. I for one could care less, whether or not Lucas added Vader saying noooooooo!!. If I didn't read about that here I would have never known. Just my .$.02. Also I seen a few people post something about Hans shoots first....what does that mean??

I guess one of the good things about being a fan of the PT is that they really don't get any worse with any changes. Ha!

I completely understand peoples problems with the tweaks. I share some of their sentiments. But the fact is, these arguments have been going on since 97 now. I'm moved passed those problems a while ago.

Which means all I really want know about is the actual PQ. Which is why I had to see it (And you all can figure out how) for myself. And for what it's worth, the PQ is really fantastic.

And for those who still can't bare to watch the BDs (Or at least say so) this should still be good news. Now the fan-editors have a great source to edit from. I'm no fan of fan-edits. But with a number of sources for Star Wars now available, I believe a very very good HD edition of the unaltered trilogy could be produced, with the BDs as a great starting point. So much that I think I will find a copy when made.

Don't criticize if you don't even know what's going on.

You are an Average Joe... this is not the Star Wars discussion forum for you

Yes, we're all happy that it's on blu-ray, just like we were all happy it was on DVD, and we were all happy it was on VHS, and before that we were all happy that we could buy 15 minutes of it on Super-8.

We don't have to be grateful for anything. Lucas does it to make money, not as a favour to the fans...

WAKE UP!

Yes how do we know these supposed rips come from the blu-ray or if these aren't fad edits, a prank o or something. I last checked this thread last night, and by today it seems like many people believe these rips to be legit.

Toschi,

Much respect. I'm with you...even on the fan edit issue and I don't condone those either.

1) It doesn't look like he took the time or money.

2) You could care less? At least you care.

3) Who is Hans?

Well first of all, they're in 720p. So it would have to have come from an HD broadcast.

Second, Wickett the Ewok can now blink. That would be a pretty impressive fan edit.

And the lightsaber scene aboard the Falcon has been tweaked. Not fixed... tweaked. Any fan editor would have fixed it!

It's been done in fan edits but I believe these are the real deal too.
