You're acting like it's a zombie apocalypse or something. These are movies, people. Movies. These changes are still unconfirmed, but even if they are legit...so what. First off...movies! Secondly, there's a "Nooooo" at every major emotional moment in this series, from Luke yelling when Obi-Wan dies, to Obi-Wan yelling when Qui-Gon dies, Luke learning Vader is his father, etc. It makes sense and is consistent with the series for Vader to say "Noooo" at that moment and I actually kind of like that he vocalizes his feelings in that moment to be honest. It kind of humanizes him even more than that moment already did.

I'm so sick and tired of this attitude from fans, first of all acting like they're owed something. If you don't like the changes, don't buy the movies. It's very simple. Based on the sales of the DVD's and other Star Wars related merchandise, I'm guessing you didn't. And you probably won't quit now either. So just give it a rest already. At the end of the day, they're only movies and are not worth wasting many many hours of your life getting upset over simply because you don't agree with the creator of the films artistic perspective.

I've actually just cancelled mine too, I'll wait till I hear reviews and thennnn I'll still only consider when the price comes down a bit. Right now my DVDs are serviceable, they have the same story so doesnt bother me. Besides Ive seen first hand, issues in the DVD are still there. Bummer.

If sit back and realistically look at all the tweaks and changes, it goes something like this:

Tweaks here and there for Episode IV. Nothing major except for Ben's new call, which from reports sounds as if it's been around for at least two years if you bought the Sounds of Star Wars book or whatever it is.

Almost nothing done to Episode V.

Tweaks here and there for Episode VI except for the MAJOR CHANGE to Vader.

Now, is one major change worth cancelling this set? Nobody seems to care about changes to the Prequels (I care because I'm excited to see what's done...). But, this one MAJOR CHANGE seems to be the line in the sand for an entire fanbase.

Thank you but I'll be fine. I preordered the saga for $44.79 (call it $48 with tax).

If that order shows up in the next several weeks, great.

If not, well, that will be okay too.

But again, thank you.

Must be the only one that doesn't mind the changes? I like that thematically everything links between PT and OT.

Really hoping that the nooooo is more seemless on the blu ray as it stands out too much on the youtube video. However those that have see the full blu ray rip say it's not as bad or jarring on there.

Could someone do a list of all known changes so far?

Its the fact that these are changes on top of edits from previous releases. Personally, I still think the 1997 SE's are the best of the lot and would even sacrifice the Han v Greedo scene to get them in HD!

Well, the '97 Special Edition Jabba in Episode IV is terrible. I don't want that in HD.

Yo are not alone! The people who actually like Star Wars have just left this forum by now due to it's negativity and hatemongering. It seems funny to me that these fanboys are the ones that are offended that Anakin is a supposedly "whiny, angry teenager" in Episode 2... That's really ironic!

I think it just adds a bit of character. Makes it a bit more humourous "a lot better" is clearly still not good enough as far as Lando's concerned.

I much prefer the "see a lot better" line.

SOME of those will be fixed in the next 'cash grabbing super duper last ever chance to buy extra exhanced media release' from Lucas in a couple of years or so.

Those stupid 'rockets' on his feet. He can manoeuvre like Thunderbird 1; tilts horizontally in mid-air, and then floats into the gap.

You both might have half the answer. He'll be flying out of there in 3D glory in a few years.
