I'm guessing LFL has a marketing plan that doesn't cover debunking every video or comment that gets posted over the internet.

We're still 2 weeks away from the release and NOBODY has reviewed an actual copy of the release. Why make such a big deal about something that cannot be proven in any way.

Is it the badass article that sites a reliable source for the info. Well, who is the info and how did they obtain it? These supposed information people that work for the CIA are they being hunted and need to keep their identity a secret?

I keep hoping to wake up and it was all a bad dream. I was so looking forward to buying the OT on blu-ray. I'll take Jedi Rocks and a Sarlacc beak any day to this travesty.

No. Buy. Ever.

Can you explain to me that Lukes Light Saber is Blue in the ESB? Don't say that he knew how to fix them because he didnt until Jedi

Stop please you are making yourself look foolish and making my head hurt by reading this nonsense.
Sorry man, you're wasting your breath. Beast is as delusional and disconnected from reality as Lucas is.

Popularity isn't always a good thing. And I'm sure a couple staffers will pull out thermal detonators at some point.

It's no coincidence that the only disc they were allowed to actually popped in at the media event was Empire which doesn't seem to have any major changes, if any. Basically, they want everyone to run out and buy this on Sept. 16th without knowing all the juicy details that have been uncovered over the past few days.
More nonsense. The websites who were invited only wanted to check out the etxras discs!

The most recent check discs for all the movies were there. And they watched a bit of two of the movies.

Go read the actual coverage. It was the choice of those who were invited what to focus on.

I'm also wondering if this is a ploy by Lucas to get everyone in an uproar so that when the blus are reviewed and found out to be the 2004 versions without any new additions, but with fixes, everyone will be happy. Hoping they'll stop pining for the UOT.

Unmasked Anakin sounds like that because of damage to his lungs from his injuries on Mustafar. Ya know, same reason why he's in the suit.

LOL, for real dude? These just aren't 'videos and comments' being posted on the internet anymore. Dark Horizons and Yahoo are pretty BIG sites, and not just some niche blu ray or star wars site/forum. The tone of the articles is not what I would call 'endorsing.' Lucasfilm's damage control should be out quite quickly on this one, as this does have the ability to negatively impact sales now (reaching much bigger audiences now, those who would have NO idea purchasing blindly, well, they now know). If it makes it to CNN, then they have a big problem. Especially if the footage is fake.

People posting on blu ray or Star Wars forums? No Problem! Yahoo and Dark Horizons?!? That is an entirely different ballgame. Not to mention the many that will post links to those two articles via social networking sites. Yeah, your friends who didn't care or know before, now they KNOW something is wrong. Consumers, who know something is broken or tampered with, don't buy. Don't under estimate the power of social networking and the bigger sites. Some may not care about the change, but others may. Regardless, they cannot stay quiet on this for much longer as the articles being written are being done in a negative tone (for the most part).

I agree...that dragon yell or whatever just sounds plain silly to me....both scenes just completely contradict what I read at Digital Bits because they seemed like they were rushed and thrown together irresponsibly...

I won't believe that these changes are legit until I see them myself on Sept. 16...

Hell, I'm in the market for the '06 Limited Editions just so I can have the theatrical cuts. I don't need them in HD.
You may want to hold off on those for two big reasons IMO:

1. The subtitles are cutoff at the bottom when you zoom the picture (and this is a necessity since they are non-anamorphic).
2. The audio sucks b@lls. It really does. It's a compressed stereo track and it's super tinny sounding. I have an LD rip with an uncompressed stereo track that sounds worlds better...but the picture is a bit softer.

I'm not a fan of the changes...but I'm still getting the complete saga. They're just fun popcorn movies now that I can watch with my son...they're not the movies that I loved when i was growing up anymore.

No. I simply just recognize these are only movies and am not going to have a foaming at the mouth fit about every tweak.

Sometimes I think people can't even think for themselves. That everything needs to be explained to them rather than thinking for themselves.

What do you want? The movie to pause and an animated Lucas to pop up and explain things to you? Instead of simply interpreting things for yourself?

So, now we have a "NOOOOOO!!!" in each of the films except for Attack of the Clones. Right?

TPM: Obi-Wan (as Qui-Gon gets stabbed)

AOTC: ??? (did I miss it?)

ROTS: Anakin (when Mace tries to Kill Palps)
Vader (learns of Padme's death)

ANH: Luke (at Obi-Wan's death)

ESB: Luke (I am your father)

ROTJ: Vader (redemption)
