Though it’s the way it is moving forward, Darth Vader screaming, “Noooooooo!” as he tosses the Emperor into the reactor shaft of the Death Star is incorrect. It’s simply not a good change. It’s on the level of Han firing first. No, I think it’s worse. No, I know it’s worse. There was never a moment more heartbreaking or poignant than putting the audience in Vader’s shoes and forcing us to think about what’s running through his mind. Giving him something to say somehow undermines every sweeping bit of emotion that scene had. It interrupts it.
This sums up my feelings pretty well.

That's right up there with Ford saying they'll stop maikng 8 different versions of the Focus because it confuses consumers and pollutes the brand. Not everyone wants SatNav and leather bucket seats with their cars and the same goes with movies. Choice is good especially with a format like Blu-ray.

I mean, we're never going to get a perfect release, sure you can hate this go ahead vote with your dollar. I don't want to sound like an apologist but it's not that big of a deal. Star Wars as a whole has so many flaws through all six, not just the PT, that one more doesn't really kill it for me.
So George should put more flaws in each and every release...

No, it doesn't.

Shouting "NOOO!" right before you kick someone's ass does not make you a whiny wuss.

I don't know… killing someone by Force-based electrocution requires a great deal of concentration. He's probably so close to the darkest possible side of the Force that he fails to notice Vader's soul running like hell toward a bright light.

Doesn't mean I like the change though.

Oh it's a perfect comparison. Lucas must have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and when combined with bouts of bad taste, we end up with what we get.

I think he was referring to new movies as well as multiple versions competing on one format.

Now I don't condone his views. Hell I think Return of the Jedi was phoned in and soulless (yes I still love it).

That being said, he's a much better businessman than a filmmaker. and there is logic to what he says, from a business point of view. It just conflicts with what die-hard fans want. But again, he's had that stance since he put Ewoks in Jedi.

What "good" is that exactly? Had they made all (or even half) of the fixes that they claimed, these additions/modifications wouldn't have mattered nearly as much, at least not to me. But I can't fathom why you would think that giving us the 2004 with a fixed wampa arm, a fixed video glitch, reverted surrounds, and only one fixed lightsaber outweighs no fixed color timing, no fixed effects overdub, no fixed continuity errors, and every other lightsaber remaining unchanged.

Sadly it's too late for this release. I'm sure they're already sitting in stock rooms all over the world, ready to be shipped.

Man, cancelling my preorder was a total bum-out. On the bright side, the blu-ray expenditures for September are decreased significantly. Now i know i can buy X-Men: First Class and Thor.

You used to wonder what was going through Vader's mind, Obi-Wan, Padme, who knows. But now we know, he's thinking, Nooooooo!

haha! That is true, and yeah The Clone Wars series is better written than any of the live-action films.

It's not a hoax. I've downloaded enough samples from the rips to know that this bad boys look outstanding (I never had a problem with the new color timing...)

I shutter to think how beautiful the Prequels will look....

Yeah me to. I laugh at the people canceling the order because of this. Talk about obsessed ha ha

While it is sad about these changes. We really can't do anything about it because it was the directors intend to change them.
But i still will enjoy watching these masterpieces in glorious HD

It does when silently taking out the emperor was perfect before the change.
Watch Ep.3 again and take out the much rediculed since 2005 "NOOO"
Makes that scene much better. The actions on screen emote Vaders rage better than a wussy scream.

Lucas should have taken out that "NOOO" of Ep.3 instead of adding another "NOOO" to Ep.6.

This addition is the straw that broke the camels back after the Preview Event of Lies and Half Truths that Lucas had put on a few days ago.
