To start with. We didn't get seperate releases of the OT films for 2+ years.

If it was stated the the only versions of the OT that will be included are those of 1997 and 2004, do we assume that there won't be any changes at all at the movies besides cleaning and color correction? because if something is being added, then they should be called 2011 versions.

We probably won't know for sure until they're released.

We didn't get word ahead of time that the Prequel DVDs were changed from their theatrical releases either.

And we won't be getting the 1997 versions regardless. Those have only been released on VHS and Laserdisc.

LOL and I never really noticed the changes to those movies either, even though I saw each of the prequels more than once in theatres.

The extended pod race scene in TPM is really the only major noticeable one for me.

Padme's different reaction after falling out of the Republic Gunship in AotCs was much welcome though.

Heh. Phantom Menace is actually the movie I have seen the most in theaters. Around 15-20 times.

I don't recall which anymore. I used to have a envelope with all my ticket stubs from the showing.

Attack of the Clones was roughly 10. And Revenge of the Sith was only 3. Movie was kinda depressing.

Except I only voted on the unaltered original trilogy and I'm sure I wasn't alone.

I will admit the number of plotholes in the OT that the PT created is quite amusing, even if I love all 6 films, VI and I least of all.

I don't really see many plotholes. Most of them are explained.

People just use what they percieve to be plotholes to tear down the films.

No but it happened nonetheless, separate blu-rays will happen, anyone who thinks otherwise is fooling him- or herself.

Two I just noticed -
The Skywalkers should've been able to tell they were related
Obi-Wan telling Luke Yoda was his instructor...what?

How? They were infants when they were seperated.
Plus Leia did note that she knew, and somehow always knew. Still sucked face with him though.

And Yoda was his instructor. Yoda trains all the Younglings before they're taken by a Master as a Padawan.

So what Obi-Wan said is true, from a certain point of view. There's also no reason for him to mention Qui-Gon to Luke. Or go into details about that stuff. He can't help train him, he's dead. And likely moved on after teaching Obi-Wan and Yoda how to retain their identities after becoming one with the Force.

I love that Yoda always has excuses or reasons for not being able to use the Force for prescience, that is one area that Palpatine always had him beat.

Palpatine sorta was blind to his own future though.

Palpatine: "Everything is working out as I have forseen."

*Vader picks Palpatine up and chucks him down the shaft of the DSII.*

Vader: "Bet you didn't forsee that, Biotch."

I also love how fans bash Jar Jar so much when he actually served a purpose and was in 3 films, C-3P0 is far more annoying and he's in all 6. I do wonder why Anakin didn't make him more intelligent.

Indeed. I really like Jar Jar's character and his character arc.

I just wish Lucas wouldn't have bowed to whiny fanboys and kept him in more of EII and EIII.

But he's a vital part of the story. Without him, the Jedi's fail to save the Queen before she's taken to the camps. Not to mention supplying them with the vital Gungan Army that made the assault on the palace possible. And of course, Palpatine manipulated everyone to ensure that Padme was away and Jar Jar would call for the creation of the Army. Palpatine's plans in the prequels are damn intricate and devious.

It's a shame that his redeeming scene in EIII was cut. Where he along with Padme, Mon Mothma, Bail Organa and others form what later evolves into the Rebellion. It would have given Padme and the others much needed additional screentime also. And made Padme a more active and important character in EIII.

Still find it odd the Imperials couldn't locate the Falcon on their garbage chute, talk about lack of proper tracking technology. You can destroy entire worlds and peoples but you can't locate one speedy little freighter.
