Since if that was true, where's the DVD release of the '97 SEs. Or the Blu-ray releases of every version.
Since there's clearly a market for them, which only means more cash. Guess he doesn't care much about money.
This can't be serious

Very close, but not quite.

George always intended for Vader to say "nooooo!" but the original audio mix was severely damaged in 1983 and he lost that audio for what seemed eternity. Due to budgetary and technological constraints and work on other creative endeavors, it was never re-recorded for subsequent mixes. Matthew Wood, in the spring of 2010, was able to use new technology to recover and insert the original dialogue, thus realizing the Creator's original vision for the film.

No, that's a fair point.

I wish GL only cared about cash. We wouldn't even be debating whether the UOT would ever get a BD release...it would be a done deal.

You know, I kind of envy you, in a way.

Yes... YES! The answer was right in front of me the whole time. I take back everything I said.

Lucas is ruining his films even further. Is anyone surprised?

Please stop trolling me.

How many times do I have to say that there are aspects of all the films, including the changes, that I don't care for.

It's not about whether I love it or not. They're not my films. He doesn't have to satisfy me. He has to satisfy himself.

To me, and many other fans out there, Star Wars wasn't just movies back during our childhood. Star Wars was my LIFE in middle school. Don't get me wrong, I went outside and played sports , but SW went beyond just movies for me and a couple of my friends. I had about 20 novels from the EU (Thrawn Trilogy, Jedi Academy Trilogy, Tales of, etc.), the graphic novels (Dark Empire, Tales of the Jedi), played all the LucasArts games - like Dark Forces, Jedi Knight II, Shadows of the Empire, TIE Fighter, Rebel Assault, etc. And I was big collector of the 1995 POTF action figure line.

What pisses me off is this: the fact that anytime I want to rewatch the beloved trilogy I grew up on in blu-ray high definition, I can't. And I won't be able to introduce them to my son, in their original theatrical cuts, like my Dad did for me with Empire Strikes Back at around age 10.

So you can take your "they're just movies" crap and flip the eff off.

Keepers of their inner child are the best kind of people.

there's about 5 different jokes I could create from this quote, but I'll stay classy

but I will say that's a pretty sad stance to have, man. Have some pride. You don't take that attitude when someone comes to your home to install an alarm system, do you? You want that shit done properly or you don't want it done at all.

Lol check out Katie Lucas' latest tweet.

For all of those who think we have a better chance of seeing the UOT after Katie takes the reigns... think again...

And these are the people we're supporting by buying these blu-rays???
