The positives FAR outweigh the negatives.
Same here. I would have liked to been able to chat with fellow members about the different movies, the blu ray release. But with so much GL bashing, etc. If I said anything, that was not agreeing what other people were saying. I would have a mob with flaming torches coming my way.

I agree with you on that.

If I'd bought through Amazon I might cancel until reading reviews, but my BN order will arrive shortly after release, giving me time to digest reviews and decide whether to open it or drive it back to the store.

Oh, if anyone is going to cancel their $45 pre-order from Barnes and Noble, I'll gladly take that off your hand, still time to change the shipping address to mine.

Don't see any reason to buy a set I'll probably have to buy again in a couple years. Looks like I can rent them from Blockbuster anyway.

It has been posted by someone over on the Jeditemplearchives.com that Walmart has pulled all of their 2004 dvd's off of their shelves at the request of the studio.

Don't know if it's true but if you look at Walmart.com none of them are available for purchase.

even the discs looks like sh..t,plain and simple.what a shame!
I guess I'll enjoying the HDD edition !

Guys, can't we leave the SW vs LotR cliche out of this thread? Aside from being ridiculous, it has nothing to do with the BD releases of the Star Wars films.

For 89.99 this set pretty much how do I put this in the nicest way I can um sucks. Especially for what very little you are getting. Plus these movies come on so much on SpikeTV in HD. I was excited when I heard they were putting these on Blu-ray but with all these drastic changes they have made its just not worth getting unless you got the BN one fopr 45 thats a pretty decent price for this set not 89.99 which is why I canceled my order.

Considering this is most likely gong to be the only (Non 3D) version of the films on this format, yes of course I'm buying it.

I'll probably see any 3D versions in the theater for shiz and giggles, but am not a fan of 3D in the home(even when in capable hands). The changes distract me enough in 2D as is.

For everyone emotionally disturbed by this release enough not to buy it, I am sorry these are not the roids you're looking for. I mean droids.

Seriously? Very Little? Have you seen the list of extras? The movies in 1080p plus all the deleted scenes alone are worth the 90 bucks. That's not to mention the many documentaries and other goodies that are on this set.

The only thing this set is missing is the original theatrical versions, which we were never going to get anyway.

I hope they gonna do better on the 3D edition.I saw an early 3D demo of the coruscant chase and it looked fenomenal.not a big fan of 3D ,but im gonna see them in 3D for sure.
