I think people missunderstand the originals? Because most of the action is directed at Luke they seem to think he is the focus of the three movies. The focus of the originals was Darth Vader from the point of view of Luke, how can he redeem his father and bring back the Jedi he was?

True.

People forget that back then, we were following Luke's journey, and Darth Vader's story was a mystery.

[Show spoiler]When Darth Vader told us all that HE was Luke's father...we had to wait in SHOCK for THREE YEARS to find out if it was true!

LOL

It would be cool to watch SW in German for me! Krieg der Sterne!!!
The German in ROTL is hilarious, but SW in German:

It's a Nightmare (C-3PO-AOTC)

The Star Wars movies are mostly about redemption. I think Lucas seem to believe that no matter how much somene can mess things up, they can be forgiven and they can have a chance to make things right again. In the end, Vader does it with the help of his son. The Force is strong but there is something else much stronger then the Force and that is love.

I recently found out that the lossless track is removed from the German release also... I think it outrageous! I very happy I ordered the US-Box. As you know, Star Wars in german or dubbing in general is horrible.

The funny part is that I posted on Amazon.de about this strange move of removing the original track in favor of the german dubbed one. All I got in return for this information was that I got attacked because they are glad that only the german version is in HD. I just dont get it sometimes!

People who think Vader saying "No" in RotJ makes that much of a difference to his character, the moment or story never got what RotJ was about in the first place. The more important it seems to me for Lucas to insert it into this specific scene.

The german dub of the Prequels is bad.
But the Originals are done very well.

Just like the Movies themselves

I think you only said that because you grew up on them in german, didnt you?
When I first saw Star Wars it was the german dubbed version also. I agree the Prequel dubbing is horrible but the dubbing of the Sequels isnt much better if you look at it objectively. Once I saw them in their original language I couldnt go back.

Just like the movies themselves... people seem to prefer Episodes 4-6 because they grew up on them or have known them for a long time. It is called nostalgia.

More or less, anyway.
I love AOTC. I like all 6 movies.... there are great moments in AOTC - I think my favorite is the Obiwan vs Jango Fett fight in the rain. Just a awesome scene.

And i have never seen any Harrison Ford movie without his german voice.

I can really look at it from a near to neutral point of view and i still think that the dubbing of the originals are way better and like i said very well done.
I'm not the only one who thinks this way about it. Even People who generally watch the original Language says the same about this subject.

But hey....we all have our own opinions.
Its what makes the World interesting

Yes. But he is always very good.
But that isn't helpful if the majority of the dub ist horrible.

People just are happy, that the german audio got the highest priority on the german discs, because most people over here will be watching those movies in german language.

The fan-reaction is a disgrace!

James Earl Jones was always a more important part of the Vader-persona to me than David Prowse. This new final scream of agony when Anakin breaks free of the Dark Side is very powerful a clear improvement. It's just out of spite that "fans" don't like it.
I'm guessing you missed Jedi Rocks, the Mos Eisley extended scene, the Sarlac Pit, Greedo, etc. etc. etc. Yeah, very respectful.

It's all a matter of opinion really!! Some like certain of the aspects changes in the movies and others don't. No one will ever be able to convince someone to change their opinions on the subject.

Very. Aside from Greedo, those changes improve the movie greatly.
