It's too bad that the poster you were responding to had to put it in the matter that he did... I agree with him in the overall scheme of things... that this is Lucas' films and he can do what he wants with them. That being said, I certainly understand why people are upset and complain, and I don't blame anyone for voicing their opinion on the matter. The only thing that IS tiresome is that the same points get brought up again and again, and always will. Every Star Wars thread on the internet devolves into the same stuff, and hundreds of pages get devoted to a circular conversation that never goes anywhere.

I think that's really the only point he was trying to make, but he should have had a little more tact.

Exactly. Some of these guys have posted the same complaints over, and over, and over. It just gets old.

Beats me. To preserve disc space, perhaps?

I checked just now, and yeah, it has a lot of unfinished blue screen & other effects.

If anyone cares, bonus disc one and two don't have Scandinavian subtitles, only English/French/Spanish/Dutch/Portuguese. A bit odd since all the other discs of course have Scandinavian subtitles, my set being from this region. Just thought I'd mention it.
Ok Thank you!

Well, for me that's clear that all the Prequel deleted scenes are rought cut, crap blue screen acting with no effects finished. Unlike the previous DVD where they redone brand new effects.
As the movies quality is not that we have expected, unbelievable changes and all the shit, the fact that deleted scenes are presented in window mode without effect is enought for me.

That's not such a long time to wait is it???

Remember that old saying:
Everything comes to he who waits.- And trust me you will be waiting a long time for that moment.

Look on the bright side you can still enjoy the blu-ray's and the impending release of the Star Wars movies in 3d..
And by then, George Lucas will have bought PIXAR back and will replace Lucasfilms logo at the front of the films with the pixar one. Another layer of DNR on the prequels and they will look completely computer animated

Remember, the only reason he completed the deleted scenes on TPM DVD was he thought no-one would buy it otherwise. It got an alround critical and audience drubbing. I think it has got better over time and alongside the other prequels.

None of the other PT DVD's bothered, they were still blue/green screen scenes. Funny that

I haven't seen the clip, but that approach doesn't surprise me, since "Attack of the Clones" is primarily a love story. The titular event doesn't even happen until the last 20 minutes of the film or so. The music, locations, costumes, performances...much of it was done with a romantic mood in mind.

It means that absolutely no work has been done on this scenes...
It means also that in the Yoda/ Qui-Gon scene, this is Ben burt voicing Qui-Gon.
Holly Shit! I'm crying...
By the Way, if CRS could verify this???

The deleted scenes are not window boxed. But I looked at most of the other deleted scenes, and yes, most of them are in a rough state without finished effects.

And because of a few scenes that have green screen you are cancelling your order???

Because THE DIRECTOR deemed them unsuitable for the final product you are cancelling your order???

My God, this is why we won't get a PT deleted scenes trailer before!!
That's because it is completely crap...!!!

Since the OT deleted scenes will be in very poor quality, then I can grab them on youtube. No need this f....g box set.
I hate you GL.

By the way, Thanks for the info crs

Awesome. Anyone think there is a chance we could see a cheaper price for the complete saga on release day than the $89.99 advertised everywhere right now?

(I'm thinking of how BB released LOTR at $69.99, which was $20 cheaper than it had been prior to release)

Sounds like a big commercial for 20th Century Fox products.

hmmm...

Any screenshots for the Naboo Cruiser approaching Coruscant from the opening sequence of AOTC? ...also General Grievous and his ship? How about some grabs of Slave One from Empire or the asteroid chase in Clones?

I must say that the prequels do look very tasty...and the sound (especially the Naboo Cruiser approach and Grievous's ship) should be spine-tingling Sadly, the CGI does look very ropey in places and has done for a while...this is what you get for using it!

As far as the original trilogy goes; the quality looks OK but it still looks over-saturated and the blacks look well crushed (like the DVD's), sound is an unknown though.

I am not a fan of the changes from the theatrical; i believe they should have been restored as a trilogy made and preserved for the era they were made and should not have been "integrated" with the prequels, it's the "comedy robots and creatures" obsession i cannot understand...making Mos Eisley look more complex and bigger or complementing the "hardware" is one thing but adding characters stepping in "do-do" or unecessary "noooo's"...no thanks

I'm praying someone alters the deal a little further.
