Other than the fact that since they come out Friday, they won't be on sale a couple days later if you wait.

Some alternate ones they were pondering:

OWN EVERY MOMENT... Except the original ones.

OWN EVERY MOMENT... Some exclusions apply.

OWN EVERY MOMENT... Just kidding.

They ought to have a self-adjusting scale in here, that measures all the negative posts versus the positive ones. Ten to one, the former would be off the charts.

Actually cancelled my Amazon pre-order just now. X-Men: First Class came a day late for me so now I'm just going to pick this up at a store to make sure I get the Star Wars complete saga the day it comes out.

I also hate it when the packaging is damaged when you fish it out of your mailbox. It's better to buy such expensive sets in stores.

Well, on my way home from the midnight HMV launch in London at Oxford Street, and the epic turnout was... Me, my wife, and another nice fella. Home in 20, and a day off awaits in the company of 9 little blu rays, starting with number IV.

I think most people will be going to the special events being held by HMV throught monday, with special guest signings to boot. I think I'd rather skip the midnight opening and just head in during the day and try and get my set signed.

To the folks who already have this set and watched some of the movies and offered their opinion, much appreciated.

I went back fairly far though and see no sign of screenshots. I know the importance of watching in full motion for final jugment versus screnshots BUT .......

Without at least some of them being posted, those not lucky enough to have the set have no way of knowing what is exactly what with the different opinions offered on the quality of these BDs.

It'll probably vary from store to store. Wal-mart doesn't have fixed prices, they charge whatever the local market will allow. If you live in a town without a Best Buy, Target, etc...chances are it will be higher. Nobody to directly compete with.

The response from the HMV Manager regarding the turnout:

Impressive.... most impressive.

I am looking forward to getting this set in the U.S. and noting the clarity change -- like getting a new pair of glasses (I've never worn glasses BTW).

Kinda like the Toy Story movies on Blu, the clarity difference from their DVD counterparts was stunning!

I've worn them almost every year of my life since I was six, and I'm still excited about this release. It amazes me how many people love to complain, just for the sake of it. They almost deify the films, and talk about their childhood being raped, every time the slightest change is mentioned. There's certain things I'd prefer remain intact, but overall, its still "Star Wars". There's never been another film franchise that's affected so many people over the years...and whether you agree with Lucas or not, no one can deny that's an incredible accomplishment.

The positive reviews from those who got an early copy appear to be watching on small screens at 10-12 ft viewing.
This explains why the DNR, blinking Ewoks and other changes look "great."
Might as well break out the DVD.
Those with projectors, large screens and adequate viewing distance will still suffer from the PQ and storyline changes.

Does that self-adjusting scale go to 11?
