So, in short, I haven't been able to keep up with this (or other website threads) over the past week. What's the conclusion on the color timing and the lightsabers? Still the same as the DVD but with some minor tweaks on sabers in some shots? This is my sticking point right now.

Not suprisded about episode III, good movie, and is reference quality.
Actually many people care, and I am looking forward to watching this and I love the film, so people leave your dam opinions about the films to yourself and just review the technical aspects of the blu not the films!

Does anyone have a pic of the Target lithographs you get with the Complete Saga? I'm curious how big they are, etc. I asked earlier but it got lost in the shuffle.

From user reviews some shots fixed, shots not it's a mixed bag. I think the review on the should give you a good idea on the rest.

Not sure where you're getting that from. AOTC was filmed with the HDW-F900 as far as I'm aware. It's 1920x1080p. Revenge of the Sith did use a later generation camera though - can't recall the model number for that one.

The bluray.com review sounded nice, but I'd like an opinion from someone more familiar with the color timing.

Excellent review!! So very excited to relive these movies again for the first time in YEARS! $80 for a release day delivery from Amazon (Prime member) for 6 movies plus a load of extras is an incredible deal for one of the best franchises in cinematic history.

Long live Blu-ray!

Even I haven't canceled my B&N pre-order, but that's because it was a great deal and I can either sell the set for a small profit on ebay/craigslist or just return it to a store. I have zero intention of keeping or opening the package.

I was buying the set anyways, but I'm nonetheless glad it got a fair review. With Star Wars more than any other franchise, it's easy to let ones personal taste unfairly spill onto other facets of the box sets contents. I'm glad that didn't happen here.

It was filmed on HDCAM tape which encodes the video as 1440x1080. ROTS used the new (at the time) HDCAM-SR tape which was much better quality.

I just finished reading the review, and its very impressive. I do, however, have two questions...

1) Are the Lightsabers Really Fixed This Time?!

(sighs)

OK, I've vented now. But seriously, I want to know. I'm not just talking individual scenes, either. All of them, in each of the films, particularly the OT. No more "bubble gum" or "blended mint" sticks, right? No more shots of one saber being a different color for each shot? Lucasfilm first said they were fixed, then folks start showing supposed "rips" of them still being nasty. Such a thing doesn't make me hate the films at all, but its definitely distracting. What's the final verdict on this?

2) What Kinds of Other "Adjustments" Have Been Done?

I already know about the digital Yoda, Vader's new scream, and the blinking Ewoks...is there anything else worthy of noting? Some mentioned the possibility of digital tweaks being made to Yoda in "Empire" and "Jedi", or maybe another variation of the "Han vs. Greedo" moment. How did everything turn out?

Somebody posted a clip (when the rips first surfaced) that was supposedly the current incarnation of that scene. Greedo still fires but (as far as one can tell from a clip, anyway) it did look a lot less cobbled together. It's still a stupid change but the execution seemed better.

Oh, and don't forget the new dragon call.

Reports are that lightsabers are partially so not every single shot was done or caught. Form the most part they are fixed though.

For adjustments there is a dvdactive link in this thread that should give you all of them.

Well, this is a line from the on-site review...

Remember how the lightsabers' hues sometimes shifted? Not so here.
This shot looks encouraging, but I wanted total clarification on the matter, from the actual discs, not some online "rip".

Does anyone have pictures or an unboxing video of the Original Trilogy box set? I'm not interested in the complete saga edition as I dislike the prequel movies. I'm wondering how the inside box art is.
