Completely agree. $80 for a year of 2-day shipping is an excellent deal. Especially if you live particularly far away from a Best Buy or Fry's like I do. I've always received everything on release day, just as promised. Love Amazon Prime!

It used to be an excellent deal. Now that they've added Amazon Prime Video for free, it's an AMAZING deal.

To those who have copies, i have read on this review of the blu's that they have "widen" the shots. If this is true, in TPM where Darth Maul points at the rock and force throws it into the control panel to open the doors behind him, is this scene clearly visible like it was in the theaters on the blus? Cause if my memory serves me correct, in the dvd it seems like it was kinda cut off on the sides.

I had to re-order it, because something happened to the original order I placed back in January, for some reason because I canceled my Amazon Prime membership, it screwed up the original order, but now that I re ordered it and canceled the old order, my card has now been charged and it says shipping soon, hopefully this is an isolated incident, well I'm sure we will find out...

I went to Target and they were closed this morning.
I bet they will be open soon. Probably around 8am PST.
I hope they have the blu-ray end display setup getting ready for Friday.

Yes, the framing on TPM has been opened up a bit. It seems that when the film was transferred for the DVD master the sides were cropped slightly. I'm not sure why that was done, maybe it was a limitation of the scanner that they used. In any event, the correct framing has been restored for the BD.

Seems like the fans aren't the only ones looking for an apology from George Lucas:

http://www.gigwise.com/news/66850/St...m-George-Lucas

The stellar sales for the Blu-ray will undoubtedly drive her nuts. Also, I didn't know Alec Guinness retained his merchandising rights. No wonder he was willing to do cameos for the rest of the OT.

My hopes of getting the set on Saturday just died...

EDIT: By the way, I only ask for respect because I am one of those who are going to watch the saga in a different order, not in I-VI. This is MY choice because, since I'm NO fanboy, and I don't have blinders to watch these movies, episodes I and II DO SUCK (III is a bit more enjoyable), and having them as 'flashbacks' (such as Godfather Part II) works in a very good level.

Yes, the camera pan is a bit slow and the rock/debris flies out of the frame for a short moment, but when it hits the panel it's in the frame again. The right edge of the little explosion touches the edge of the frame though, so it's only just barely in the shot.

I still primarily use Amazon I just make sure to spend $25 to get free shipping. The gas point is moot for me.

I don't even know how to comprehend the absurdity of your "Godfather Part II" comparison.

On one hand you have an incredibly unique structure with perfectly-edited moments of transition between prequel and sequel scenes and on the other hand you have a completely awkward and arbitrary order devised by some unknown internet fanboy.

You can watch them in reverse-order with a "Deuce Bigalow" intermission halfway between if you're so inclined but you're not going to convince anyone that its a valid order.

I usually would have taken the chance with Amazon since I too have prime and amazon usually ships my items the day before and for the most part I have received my items on release day and don't have to worry about taxes or those stupid price stickers that stores but on movies, the gas point is moot because I live walking distance from Target, Best Buy, and K-mart. However my local Best Buy is having a midnight release so I plan to have a marathon Friday morning to late afternoon since I have plans to go out Friday night. Plus I have a $5.00 Best Buy rewards certificate that I got for free just for playing a game on my iphone( check this out https://forum.blu-ray.com/retail-sho...od-iphone.html so that will save the tax and we get a free t-shirt and movie cel(not that I am ever going to wear the t-shirt or use the movie cel but still). And although whenever I have ordered from Amazon I do receive my items on release day, the ups guy usually delivers them between 3-5pm.

Exactly, it's absurd to compare the excellent and well-written Godfather Part II with the Screenwriting 101 Star Wars Prequels.

[Show spoiler]Yes, I'm feeding the troll; they still need to eat!
