I should try this! It reminds me of how I watch the Star Trek Films: 1-4, Galaxy Quest, 6. Okay, maybe not 1 so often.

What's the deal with having to slide the discs out? I wish they wouldn't have done that. Too easy to scuff.

It looks like Amazon seems to ship their packages in whatever random order they feel like. Some people have just ordered theirs recently and have already had their package shipped. Meanwhile, I've had my pre-order in since May, and I'm still waiting.

I always thought they'd take priority over the people who ordered first and work their way down whatever "list" they have. Time and time again, I have been wrong.

Exactly! This happened to me when I pre-ordered Black Swan! Strange.

Is anyone glad that they're holding on to their dvds like me? They're selling for upwards of $130 for the 2006 edition! All the documentaries not on the blu-ray set are a must too.

this is just one instance...

the 2006 DVDs are available in abundance (in Toronto anyways) for $19.99, so anyone paying upwards of $20-25 is just too lazy to look

I picked up the 2006 ESB for $2.50 last weekend

They're not worth over $25 apiece

That's why I'm glad I signed up for Amazon Prime. I'll just cancel it after 3 weeks so I won't have to pay anything.

Has anyone NOT shipped yet who has Prime?

They learn Darth Vader's revelation, we flash back, we see the truth, we find out Luke has a sister named Leia, we see how Vader fell, then we come back to the OT storyline to see how everything wraps up, only we're more afraid for Luke now having seen how his daddy fell.
How can you "in good conscience" allow a newbie to watch the movies in an order that would blindside them with the unceremonious revelation that Leia is Luke's sister/Anakin's daughter not to mention the undeniable and extreme pacing disaster that is Luke/Han/Leia taking a back seat during a 6+-hour detour immediately after... oh... I dunno... A CLIFFHANGER?

The rationale behind the 4,5,1,2,3,6 order is woefully inept to say the very least.

I ordered mine when I had the prime trial back in January so I could still get the free shipping. Still hasn't shipped yet

Mine hasn't shipped yet. I'm not worried though. They've never missed a release day delivery for me.

just a thought, but it may have something to do with everyone's location. some need to ship earlier to guarantee the date. my prime orders often make it me in one day because I'm relatively close to a shipping facility. I haven't been paying attention to where shipped vs not shipped people are located. just throwing it out there.

Yeah. ME! Not upset, though, I'm sure it'll ship in the early morning.

Wow, it looks incredible...especially the OT. I popped in each disc and skimmed through them, and still can't get over how good the OT films look!

Yup. Keeping the 2006 editions- I sold the single disc editions from the 2004 set to pick these up when they came out and kept the Bonus Disc. Plus, the docs and deleted scenes on the Prequel Discs are great.
