HaHaha. Yes movies do sell out on release date all the time. Especially when stores under order. Hopefully stores anticipated interest here.

So to break the mold. I have now watched Episiode one from my set bought yesterday! And I agree it is rather scrubbed looking however I love everything about it. And this movie alone pays for the money I spent.

This will be the first time I've ever watched 1-6 in order. And just this start point was great. I felt the hightened immersion of the 1080p. The 6.1 sound being of such clarity - that even the political jargon seems to be gripping.

There is a subtle sort of form to the acting and sets which you see with the greater detail that moves the story in less of a cut-scene way than I used to see in the film. I used to agree with people who said it was a CGI-fest above anything else but now I feel it just 'works'. The environments blend well with the story and the laser gun and jedi stuff is more impactful visually and less cheesy like a cartoon.

I never saw it theatrically but for the first time I actually felt and saw something deep in qui-gon's death fight. Which was surprising since it used to have little to NO impact on me.

Going to watch AOTC on the weekend and hope the Redlettermedia panning review hasn't soiled that movie for me forever..lol

Phantom Menace rocks on blu!
That review raped MY childhood... Seriously, lol destroyed the PT for me when I first saw the reviews lol But after watching the PT on Blu monday I found I could still watch them thank god

Totally retarded that the same company can have a price differential like that as well. I don't get how that works, oh well. Here's hoping its a non-issue!
I'm in the same boat as you! I'll be heading to Walmart in a little over an hour to get it. I actually called two local Walmarts, and both said they will have it at midnight, but even they don't know what the in-store price will be yet.

I'm really hoping that some of the other nerds there will have a weekly add from Target, if the price isn't the same.

So for those of you going to the midnight releases: pictures would be awesome I can't make it since I have a really early morning tomorrow. I need to see pictures of the Original and Prequel sets.

Simple. No unaltered original trilogy included, weird changes like rocks in front of R2, blinking Ewoks, Obi-Wan/Goofy scream, and Vader NO... NOOOOOOO!

How the heck are you going to be able to get any sleep tonight?

Are you going to open them up and watch one of the movies right after you get back home?

I live less than three miles from Walmart, and I usually stay up until about two or three in the morning anyway, since I don't go in to work until 10:30am, but I am off work Friday, Satuday & Sunday this weekend, so yes. I am kind of torn between just watching some of the bonus features tonight, or watching E.I and maybe E.II. Decisions, decisions....

That's what I thought.

I guess that I will go with the T-shirt then.

LOL

I happen to live within a quarter of a mile of both a BB and Target, but since I took tomorrow off, I will just pick up mine around 8 AM.
