for anyone that hates the "paper" packaging of the SW set and the way there are no disc hubs, I have a solution for you--
D-SKINS.
this product--also known by the phrase "cd condoms"--are thin circular pieces of plastic with a tiny plastic edge that allows you to slip the entire piece over the disc--cd or bd--and keeps it from getting scratched.
here is a pic of the product packaging--
http://www.femail.com.au/img/dskin.jpg
I'm not sure how easy or hard it will be to find the product, but I know you can find people/companies that sell them online.
I have verified that the current SW complete set has cut-outs that are large enough so that the bd with the d-skin attached WILL still fit into the slot.
So for anyone that wants their SW discs protected from the wretched packaging
design of the new set, there is a way to be worry free about the discs getting scratched while not being used.
when you take out the bd to play you just slip the d-skin off; when you are ready to replace the bd back in the book you just clip it back on.
DO not leave the d-skin on the bd when playing the disc.
anyway, just thought I would let people know about this amazing product that has been around for a long time, but is not known about by many collectors.
website-- http://www.d-skin.com/

I probably won't go to the midnight sale of the bluray, but eventually I will get it. I think I'll wait a little bit before I have Mr. Lucas take a dump on me and laugh about it, just like he has every other STAR WARS fan. Anybody else feel like we are all bending over and taking it prison style while Mr. Lucas tells us to like it? You all don't have to admit it. I am a fan as well. Yes Mr. Lucas, we are all your personal toilet. We will take your no's 1 and no's 2 just to have a portion of the movie we fell in love with in the theaters on BLURAY. We might complain and we might say boycott, but who are we kidding? We love STAR WARS.
Yes there are some who will refuse to buy, but those of us who will buy will outnumber you exponentionally.
Remember that kid from SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE who jumped into the hole of the outhouse to retrieve a piece of paper? Picture all us fans standing inside the hole of the outhouse, holding the STAR WARS box in the air proudly as we are covered from head to toe in......... well, you know. Yes we love STAR WARS!

In my experience their free shipping is incredibly slow. It's taken a month for me to get stuff from them that they already had in stock.

No cheaper than Amazon. Some people just wanted to get the free poster at Wal-Mart or the free t-shirt at Best Buy.

I bought mine at 12.00 midnight on Walmart. I happened to be walking there to buy some supplies I needed and they had cupcakes and drinks and gave free posters so I stopped to see.

So, I bought it.

I saw part of A New Hope and it looks incredible, a good update.

I think car batteries are only expected to last something like 3 to 5 years. I pushed the limit on mine and about a little over a month or so ago I found that my car wouldn't start. I am FAR from being a car expert, but I knew it had to be something to do with the battery or alternator as I went through something similar back when I was in college, and knew the clicking sound that it made when trying to start. I was also familiar with the typical life expectency of a car battery from previous conversations with my mechanic, and knew that it had been quite a few years since the battery had been replaced. So I went and got a new battery (luckily my wife's car was still working just fine), swapped it out, and it started right up. It's been working fine ever since. Well, actually it recently had a problem with stalling when I was stopped in traffic, which I think has been taken care of (my mechanic did a repair on what he thought the problem was earlier this week, and so far it hasn't stalled again, though it was intermitent and didn't do it every time previous), but that has nothing to do with the battery or alternator.

I don't know if you have the same problem, but hopefully it's something as simple. Replacing a battery isn't too horrifically expensive.

Anyway, back to Star Wars!
I think our phone car-charger is to blame. I am waiting to pick up my son from school -- by walking -- and then I'll try to turn on the car to pick up my wife. If it doesn't work, then my son and I should at least be able to get ANH in before SHE gets home with the bus!

LOL

Indeed! Lets.Go.Blue/or Blu

I got to my local WalMart at 12:15 AM, and of course the lazy stockers said it wasn't out yet. I found the lady working at the home electronics department and asked where Star Wars was. She said she seemed to recall an internal memo that said copies should be on the floor at midnight.

She was extremely helpful and rather than having my drive to another Wallyworld she went to the back and brought the pallets out. Super nice lady... she even set aside a copy of the Complete Saga for her son.

I'm a teacher, lot's of work and at midnight was my only chance to get some paper!

But, when I saw the electronics section with the TESB video playing, I said... I know that! and I picked it up!

It's awesome. Not ashamed of that, even the cashier said he would be getting his.

On mine they had a celebration in the electronics department, they had cupcakes and drinks, and they gave me a free poster. I happened to be at Walmart and remembered it was Star Wars day because of the ESB images playing on all the TVs! so I picked it up.

Any news on any Easter eggs yet? I'm surprised I haven't seen any mentioned with it being out since Tuesday in the UK.
