The scene in A New Hope when Solo goes around Jabba the Hut is completely cringe-worthy.. How did they manage to not clean that up

Default Anyone having trouble with the audio?

Not sure if I got a bad set or not? Put in Part I & III to test the DTS-HD track and the sound is very quiet. Having to turn up almost to '10' to get to decent level. Running this on a Yamaha Aventage A-2000 with Klipsch speaker system.

Put in some other blu rays and they sound fine at normal volume levels. Is this just a bad set? Or is anyone else having issues?

Thanks!

So, how's the picture quality on all six films? I'm heading out to Best Buy tomorrow to pick up the standalone sets ... I really don't like the packaging for the Blu-rays in the complete series set.

I have to say that I love the packaging on this set. While I'm in favor of individual cases, I really can't stand some multi-disc packaging, like the fold-out style used for Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Back to the Future, to name a few. And the original Battlestar Galactica packaging was just a joke. I also can care less for pull-out style cases, and even my LOTR EE are in my cabinet with only the individual cases, and I keep the exterior case in storage. But this Star Wars blu set IMO was done nicely. I love the bookstyle or whatever you call it, no long accordion-foldout that dangles down to the floor to make my dog think I've presented her a new chew-toy.

What I noticed in HD after Leia made it to the other side of the abyss!

does the running time of the audio commenteries count as part of the "over 40 hours of special features" stated on the back of the case of the Complete Saga?

I haven't seen this posted anywhere, but I " found" the holiday special Easter egg. The entire cartoon sequence from the special is on disc 2 >pursued by the imperial fleet> the collection> Boba Fett's prototype armor. There's a link for "first look" just click on that.

Not really a hidden Easter egg but for those wondering about the holiday special I thought I'd point it out.

My viewing schedule: Eps. I, II tonight; Eps. III, IV Saturday night; Eps. V, VI Sunday night.

I was 7 when ANH came out in 1977. I still can recall my very first time seeing it.
