I'm just gonna bring it back to Best Buy, no big deal. I just hope the new set isn't worse. LOL!

Yes, Portman has talent, but if you don't have a feel for what a director wants, that would make it difficult for the actors to collectively capture the mood in the same scene. Sure, the writing/script might explain what the scene requires (mood, feeling, behavior, etc.), but not everyone interprets what is written in the same exact way - web forums ALONE are an example of that . If this directing style really is true, that to me pretty much explains the wooden acting in the prequels.
The only direction Lucas gives according to Harrison Ford is "Faster" and "More Intense"!

A lot of idiots and cheapasses on this forum just don't understand that people can do as they please with their money.

Watch the bonus features on the Episode III DVD and you realize that "Faster" and "More Intense" is not the only direction he gives....

Yeah let's hope. Like I mentioned before I only had two very tiny pin holes that I only saw when I held it up to the light. I didn't see anything on the paint side and it didn't cause any problems. I've returned sets and have come out worse in the end, but in your case it def. needs to be returned.

Exactly. There is absolutely no reason to question what someone buys unless they are using your money lol. Just like the people that wait out for a big set in hopes that it will be $10 one day.

That's because Lucas is a horrible director.

completly different set up. my ps3 has not been updated in awhile, so that will be first. anyway, obviously i wont do an exchange. but still, kinda disappointing. regardless, im still loving this set.

It has been reported that Lucas did indeed want to go back and make Yoda cgi in TESB and ROTJ for this bd set and Fox did some tests to see how it would look.
the tests didn't look good at all so the idea was shelved.
Lucas was ready to go that route though.

I could see if there were things that directly affected the story, but it's almost laughable that someone would deprive themselves of this amazing set because of a few tweaks.

It's been argued to death in here already, so I won't go any further. But please, give it a watch before deciding against it!

Default Attack of the Clones video issue

Just finished watching ep. II, there was a video anomaly at about 2:00:05 with Yoda coming down the transport ramp and then transitioning back to the attack scene. The picture pixilated big time to a jumble but did not appear to skip. Only lasted a second or so. Didn't see any surface defects on the disk and the problem happened at the same scene every time I re-played. I've watched I, IV, V without any video or audio issues.

Anyone else have this issue on their AOTC disk?

This has happened with me,,on my VI disc near the edge of the disc..not sure if it affects the playing of the disc( i have it going now)..but more than likely ill be returning it.Just finished checking all the other discs are they are fine.
Thinking maybe just call Fox see they would be willing to replace it.

I was skeptical of the complete saga packaging, but now that I have seen it I think it is very cool. Discs fit real nice and it does not take up a lot of shelf space

Can't seem to find that issue with my copy. UK set played on a launch 60gb PS3.

I feel really bad for the people that are boycotting this set. When you watch thesr movies (the OT), you almost forget about analyzing each change because the movies are so good and absorbing. The video quality upgrade doesnt really make me appreciate the movies more because everytime I watch them, I just get totally pulled in. The only obvious difference of the upgrade that im reminded of is the awesome audio on these blurays. And once again, the video upgrade is amazing but it's the movies that are more amazing.

I was upset with the nooooo changes but it's no big deal at all. I would have paid 80 dollars to get just A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back in blu anyway.

The funniest change is the clonk sound when the stormtrooper bumps his head in A New Hope. And the han/greedo change is excellent as well. It doesnt matter who shot first - it's now like a cowbou duel where the winner is the better shooter.

The Bobba Fett cartoon looks great as well - it's hard to imagine getting the best part of the Holiday Special on bluray.

Eventhough I prefer to watch Jedi and Empire the most, A New Hope is actually the best film and such a masterpiece. It's hard to hate George Lucas!

I've been switching back and forth between an upscaled DVD of ESB and the Blu-Ray. I'm not blown away by the PQ differences on my 42" plasma. I bought this for ANH and ESB - hopefully the new audio tracks for these two are interesting.
