So yeah, I'm hearing audio pops or drop outs in AOTC. They last only a fraction of a second and seem to be completely random in nature, but are still noticeable from time to time. I have an Sony S360 and a Denon AVR-590. Anyone have similar issues or found a fix to the problem?

Won't happen. There's nothing wrong with the packaging at all. It serves it's purpose. Just like the Alien set does.

Try adjusting your delay on your home theater system to 100mm's that might fix the problem with the audio dropouts and also make sure your blu-ray player's firmware is updated.

Yup. It transports the discs safely from the store to your home, where the discs can be safely removed and put into separate cases

I've done this with Alien and Star Wars.

I love both boxes and take them out to look at the pages from time to time. But I just can't risk sliding the discs in and out of the slot, especially as often as I'll be watching Star Wars

I was able to return by pain chipped discs as well, and also got a box/book in much better condition than my original one, which had dirt smeared on the front and back of the digibook

I've watched the Alien films multiple times, and have had no issues with the discs. I think people are worried for nothing.

my theory had nothing to do with that, re read it again, it was just a theory as to what lucas reasoning might have been for that particular change.

Yeah, how dare I actually like the damn packaging. I forgot, the party line is to constantly whine and moan.

There's nothing wrong with the packaging, except that the tape that holds it together breaks. Besides that it's awesome!

Tape? What tape? Are you imagining tape now? The so-called tape issue is with the UK plastic stacks. Go troll someone else. It's getting old.

the us set doesnt have tape holding it togeather, the uk release does

but not the us and its just as nice as the Alien digibook style packaing.

I watched 13 Assassins in between trilogies. LOVED IT!

I have a big ass backlog of stuff to catch up on, even though I've seen most of it, I haven't watched my Blus yet: Braveheart, Heat, Bourne Ultimatum, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Thunderball, Goldfinger, Gone With The Wind, Memento, The Godfather III... probably a few more. Lots of work ahead of me.

If you haven't seen them yet, I think you'll be quite pleased with the A/V presentation on both, overall. Jedi gets really soft around 55 minutes in, but then clears back up after about 3 minutes.

I'm going to curl up on the couch with some food and(non-alcoholic)drinks, and a movie, and nurse my hangover.

You've had no issues, good for you. I've had issues... unlucky me.

Who's to say what will happen to anyone else who buys these sets based on what the two of us have said? Certainly not either of us.

Personally I don't care one way or another, the US packaging is fine with me... but I won't cheerlead for it and shoot down anyone who doesn't like it. That's going a little too far.

What's next?

Indeed. If people are worried or simply not careful, custom cases is probably the best option for them.

My Brother is a notorious butterfingers, especially when trying to be careful. So he's putting his discs in plastic cases.

I watched the first 20 mins of Empire in starts and fits, while I was busy around the apartment, but I need to restart it and do it properly tonight.

The A/V presentation was incredible. I was very impressed. Empire is the main reason I love Star Wars so I'm glad it turned out the way it did.

I watched the Star Warriors documentary and thought it was great. I've really enjoyed disc 9. Anatomy of a Dewback was neat as well.

Star Warriors was the best thing on that disc. It was amazing!
