You're starting to make me feel like Winston at the end of 1984.

2+2 = 5 ?

If you can answer this question for me HONESTLY, I will promise to respect your opinion. But you have to be honest. In Japan we are all honest over here.

If you were in a life or death situation - a real one - a guy has a gun on you in a seedy place where you can expect no help - and you know you are about to die - YOU ARE GOING TO DIE - do you wait until the other guy fires first? At point blank range? Your answer should be quite interesting.
What makes you think Han didn't want to shoot first? Greedo just happened to shoot quicker, it happens.

I have started to try and watch AOTC again. I gave up yesterday when Jar Jar appeared. Now I just watched a scene where a stupid kid is smarter than two of the "greatest" of jedis. These movies are for babies.

That kid should have joined Obi-wan for the rest of the movie. he would have figured out the whole situation in 2 minutes.

OWK: "jedi kid, why is it dark? The sun's warmth remains on my face, but when I try to find it, it has disappeared."

Jedi Kid: "Master, because your eyes are closed."

Yoda: "mmmm hhmmm hmmmm...truly wonderful the mind of a child."

There are some very soft looking shots. Good thing I don't care about this movie.

people take this scene way to literally...

Obi-Wan thinks someone may have wiped Kamino from the database and when he points out the gravitational pull, Yoda realizes it too...

You can tell they are both thinking the same thing while they are staring at the empty spot.

Yoda then "quizes" the younglings... even though Yoda and Obi-Wan both know the truth before it leaves the child's mouth.

I can't help but feel like some of you PT haters are missing out on some of the best audio available on blu-ray by not hearing TPM and AotC. They are by far some of the best sounding blu-rays ever released that I have ever heard. I still find it odd that the newest one isn't on par with the two right before it, and I would almost go as far as to say that, considering when the OT films were made, that RotS has the worst audio of them all, but it's still not "bad" overall, but bad by Star Wars on blu-ray standards.

I watched Return of the Jedi tonight. It really does have the worst special effects of all the Star Wars movies.

I also hope in the next release that C3PO has a voice over in Empire Strikes Back explaining that the carbon freezing caused Han Solo to gain 20 pounds. It will improve the continuity.

I watched ATOC tonight (doing 1 Star Wars movie every Thursday night for the next few weeks, going in the 1-6 order, which is not my preferred way, but I should try it at least once). Anyway, ATOC looked good and sounded even better. It is still a terrible movie (I am embarrased to admit I liked it when I first saw it...oh god..), but it looks pretty darn good. A serious improvement over TPM's PQ.

The whole plot point of Kamino being missing annoyed me. I know Obi Wan goes looking for it in the Jedi Archives, but its not like the Jedi Archives are the only maps in the galaxy. Like the dude couldn't have gone to his local space port and buy a map? It isn't like Dooku erased Kamino from every map in the known galaxy. I just thought that was kind of silly.

However, that is the only plot point with Obi Wan that bothered me. I found his part of ATOC to be quite entertaining.

I found something strange, at least on my player (PS3). The Lucasfilm logo doesn't fade in like it normally does. If I switch to any other language, it plays normally. It seems like something is screwy with the seamless branching/alternate angle stuff they are using to include all the languages in the crawl. Is this happening for everyone else?

I noticed that tonight with ATOC! I thought something was 'off' a bit.

Actually, I forgot to mention that I only saw this on ROTJ. It worked fine on AOTC. I didn't check all the movies. Very weird.

Here is my list of the movies from favorite to least favorite, and yes it surprised even me:

ROTJ
ANH
ESB
TPM
AOTC
ROTS

I enjoyed the shit out of myself watching ANH and I've always liked ROTJ the best, mainly because of the Emperor/Vader/Luke scenes. I personally think ESB is the most boring SW film of them all. I enjoy the final scenes on Bespin, but Vader's reveal is no longer shock inducing, and ceased to be years ago, so it is what it is.

I hate Jar-Jar in TPM more than I remember. I hate him with a passion, but I love everything else about TPM, and it's the only film of the PT that feels like the original trilogy. I liked AOTC enough even tho the romance scenes are still cheesy and awkward, not unrealistic I should add, but awkward, and not what ppl want to see on film from the future Vader. Some ppl think ROTS is the best because it's the most tragic, and it's true that it's the most tragic, but it's not the best in my eyes. I found myself wishing they developed Anakin's fall to the dark side differently and over a longer span of time. It felt rushed, and there were things I wish had been done different. I found myself only enjoying the Yoda/Palpatine battle, but why couldn't they get Palpatine's face to look like his ROTJ face, and why would he essentially fry himself to make himself look that way? I liked the idea of him using the dark side to hide his age much better. Luke got fried much more than him, so Luke should've looked like Methusala after daddy gave Palpatine the shaft.

I should say that I was born in 86, so I saw the "OT" first.
