Too true...
And I can't believe this thread is still going strong...

i watched half of ANH and noted 2 things:

- the first time I see blood (in chronological order) was when that alien's hand got chopped off in the bar. No blood at all in the PT
- Luke wasn't upset at all when Uncle Owen and the wife got killed. Did he hate them or something?

TPM only good thing about that movie was Darth Maul and he got killed off
AOTC nothing good about this movie.
ROTS was a good movie and the only one out of the PT that was good, but left to many plot holes. Don't try to explain it to me because it will not change my mind. IMO after reading the last 100 post it really looks like you try to defend the PT's to point of trolling and baiting, I am really surprised you have not been suspended yet.

if the people who took care of you for 20 years got killed randomly by some imperial storm troopers, I would have thought you'd be pretty damn upset

Just FYI, there's still a clearly visible spray of blood when Darth Maul is cut in two on my copy of TPM.

Oh C'mon - AOTC had some great stuff, like the Kamino/clone issue. The story, while convoluted at times does advance in this flick. TPM introcuces us to the main character of the whole damn series. The pod race is sweet.

Noone is suggesting these are all-time great films but for goodness sakes.... it appears that the "film pros" are dong plenty of baiting and trolling themselves. I have an idea - just stay out of any conversation regrading the PT. Its OK to despise them but many of us really dont care. Im quite sure lots of films you PT haters like are loaded with fuzzy logic, plot holes, and cheesey scenes. Ya know?

It was quite obvious he was upset and shaken. Was he supposed to start rolling around on the ground, screaming and crying? I though this scene was pretty effective as far as showing emotion. Thats what I saw, anyways.

Host: So this is it for you guys?

Harrison Ford: The third one

Host: Alright

Harrison Ford: Which we haven't made yet.

The host interrupts Mark Hamill as he is talking and showing the height of characters. He doesn't say what characters which will be "just..little different". He says our characters, which could have meant they were going to have the role, but they wanted shorter persons. They are talking about prequels. Mark Hamill is without any doubts talking about a prequel trilogy.
And the bolded parts above pretty much prove how Ford was never approached to do a prequel because they would have been too old for their roles, or, their characters wouldn't have even been alive yet (at least in Luke's case). And what you have above says nothing about your theory on 'someone approaching Lucas to do a prequel'. These ideas and brand extensions came from Lucas. Period.

Its not Kool-aid, its simply that the PT flicks have enough positives to outweigh the negatives. Sure, the OT is a better set of films. But that doesnt mean the PT is worthless.

Its not enough for you guys to dislike the PT - you are all on a personal quest to make sure the agenda gets rammed down everyones throat. Just let it be.

I don't have a problem with the PT. I think they are good for what they are.

I feel like some people have become film snobs and want EVERYTHING to be perfect. Nothing is perfect. Take things as they are. If it doesn't appeal to you, that's fine, but don't rage on someone because they happen to enjoy it.

Yes, but then how else do you validate your own shaky sense of self?
