Weird.
Some subtitle streams have an identifier which flashes up at the end of the film, sometimes they also come with a credit as to which subtitling centre actually did them.

You may then think "I haven't turned on the subtitles though", but remember that Eps I, II, IV and VI have subs for the alien dialogue, subs which are player-generated and not 'burnt in'.

This also applies to whenever you're listening to a commentary, because they use subs to tell you which participant is speaking.

They all have the opening crawls too. This could be an artifact of whatever angle/branching technique used to determine the language for those.

Oh, and on topic, enjoying the crap outta my BDs. Got a kick outta the "Making of Star Wars" vid. I remember getting a VHS of it in the mail from some cereal that was giving it away. Actully fooled me into thinking Threepio was an actual robot when I saw him fall over all stiff in the desert!
These are superb! Thanks for the link.

Have any of you watched all the special features yet?

Which are your faves, and why?

Which ones could you do without, and why so?

How many times have you watched each episode on BD so far??

I could do without all of them.

I just don't like knowing how parts were filmed for instance if in part X they used a wire for take, each time I saw the film afterwards I'd know exactly how they did. Kinda ruins it for me.

I still dislike the extras on the set...(to keep this on topic)...

But off-topic, this is what I saw last Saturday on the Sand Castle Competition at South Padre Island.

The fact that they tried to pass off shoddy animatics as deleted scenes from I-III was a true slap in the face, especially since they left off all of the finished scenes from the DVD set - was it too much to expect that they remaster those completed deleted scenes in HD?

The omission of the DVD features was indeed disappointing, and those animatronic stuff, yeah.... Still, it's Star Wars on BD.

I wouldn't have minded if they were in SD, but its just shocking that they left them out which makes it likely that there will be an ultimate edition at some point with all of these extras (and maybe a few more OT changes).

I definately regret selling my prequel DVDs.

So I pre-ordered this back when B&N had their 50% off sale, I paid with cash in store, I then got my order cancled, so I went in store to get a refund.

Then I bought this from Costco and everything was fine until today...

I get a e-mail from B&N that my order has shipped. Thanks for the extra copy B&N!!

*Please don't lecture me on the morals of it.

You posted it, so it's open to comments...IMO, give it away, then no harm.

Love the spoofs. Just wish it was better organized. If I just want to watch the Spike TV ones, for example, they can be hard to find right away. Something like the LOTR EE menu tree would have been nice.

Got an email from Barnes & Noble today saying that my 50% off copy I ordered way back when for $44.79 finally shipped today. I don't know if it was ever officially canceled or not, but I know I was charged when I first ordered it. I'll have to go back through my bank statements to see if the money was refunded to me or not. Either way I'm happy, but free sure would be cool, lol.

On a somewhat off-topic interesting note:

"Who do you think is the highest-grossing movie star of all time? Tom Cruise? Arnold Schwarzenegger? John Wayne, perhaps? A woman? You couldn't be any more wrong. In fact, the Guinness Book of Records has just declared that it's actually Samuel L Jackson. In total, his films have grossed $7.4bn, putting him way above any of his co-workers, living or dead."

This quote came from the Guardian.com also says "Samuel L Jackson has featured in over 100 movies." That's about 3-5 movies per year for him! The Star Wars prequels are responsible for about 2.4 billion of his films' total gross...Pulp Fiction is also a big part of his films' earnings. To quote Mace, "This party's over...now bring me my lightsaber. It's the one that says Bada$$ Mother****er!"

I think Jurassic Park has more to do with the total amount of money made than Pulp Fiction.

..or just the sheer volume of movies he pops up in. Seems like sometimes a movie can't be made w/out Jackson participating in some way, shape, or form.
