Default Cyber Monday Sale?

Does anybody know if the set will be on sale during Cyber Monday, I want to buy it but dont want to drop 100 on it. Also, if you go to bestbuy.com and check the price, it says 99.99 for it, not 79.99

this box set is one of the few that didn't get anny discount so far,in fact..Amazon had it on the last weeks for 89,99 and now it's at 99,99!!!
Just not worth it,max is between 50 and 60 for me,especially since Phantom menace doesn't look good at all on a large screen,Attack fares better but isn't up to scratch either considering these are "new" movies!
i just watched "the african queen" again, considering its age it beats Phantom ...hands down,no discussion...
just be patient,it will drop lots in the near future, this set aint the last word at all,it just fills the HD gap for a while, and with 4K projektors for the home market starting with Sony in februari..well...you see where i'm going

Yes, but I doubt that they are going to do a true re-master of the films.
ILM screwed this up along with Lowry.
For me, the SFX are what killed my plans to purchase this set.
and no, not talkin about the rocks in front of R2, i mean stuff like the LightSaber in the Falcon and the Matte Line Boxes around the Starships.
2 Audio flubs also - Obi-Wan's "yell" - it sounded like really bad ADR, it wasn't properly added in. and as of right now i cannot remember the second one...

I picked up the epi IV-VI set for $30. It'll have to serve as a filler until I finally get my UOT.

I still cannot decide if I want the US or UK packaging.

Anyone's case falling apart yet of one or the other?

Oppo BDP-83 will never be fully functional thanks to it's outdated MediaTek decoder chipset.

Hearing clipping on Jurassic Park? Missing a 6th surround Channel on Return of the Jedi?
Yes, these are problems that possibly will never be fixed because MediaTek doesn't consider the chips in the BDP-83 to be worthy of future flash upgrades because of their "outdated'ness".

Oppo is aware of all theses issues and a few more, all of them in MediaTek's court and supposedly- possibly never to be addressed.

Default the UK set...discs are way better stored...

[QUOTE=rubystone356;5509257]I have the us edition. the boxset is fine. I dont understand all the complaint about it. I also have the alien boxset and its still fine.

well, the UK set has these blue plastic casing housing each disc seperatly, unlike the US it has to be "pulled" out of the carton inside if i saw correct?
i dont like that tbh,its clumsy and verry light scratches could be the result i think...Avatar also had this sort of packaging, not excactly but close,i removed them right away into a regular plastic casing, downside to this it takes extra shelfspace aswell, but i can now grab a disc without beeing afraid for scratches or other blemishes.
But isn't the UK set locked to region B?

I prefer the UK-style regular BD cases but I have to admit the packaging for the Saga set is pretty nice
