I need to watch these films again. Skipping the PT this time I think; just a personal preference thing.

Guys, these aren't Hitchcock films. Just sit back and enjoy the wonderful transfers we were given and stop knit-picking the plot over and over

Please?

I also agree. I watched the unaltered Ep.IV and then the Blu-ray recently and although I am not a fan of all the tinkering and added scenes, the fact of the matter is that these new transfers on the whole are way better than anything else we have seen to date, period.

They're actually quite a bit like Hitchcock films. If you were willing to accept their (often far-fetched and/or inconsistent) plot devices you were in for a fun ride. If you weren't, well he was okay with that.

They spent all the budget hiding R2 behind rocks and making Greedo shoot a little less first.

It's unfortunate too because most of the Menace transfer is so soft you wouldn't notice that. Right in the one scene that's super sharp you're like OH HEY, GLUE!

Uh...wasn't George Lucas the one nitpicking the plot (or should I say the movies) over and over...?

It's funny because even if you made a list of things that actually should have been fixed we'd probably disagree on numerous ideas.

Nah, Lucas wasn't nitpicking the plots of the films, just their visuals. If he was nitpicking over the plot he would have picked up on:

1. Luke running around with the last name 'Skywalker' and living with his Uncle whom didn't have the same last name. Thus making for the worst kept secret in Galatic History.

2. Leia remember her mother in ROTJ, but not being old enough to remember seeing her mother in ROTS.

3. The Jabba scene in ANH adding nothing to the plot of the film that wasn't already established.

4. The cab ride in TPM adding nothing to the plot...

...So on and so forth. This is why films have editors..lol as writing isn't one of George's strong points. But at least we have rocks in front of R2D2, which created a visual plot hole such as: How the #$#k did he get behind them and where did they go when Obi Wan showed up? But I digress...lol. Fun films, just check your brain at the door and just soak up the awesome that is the picture quality and sound.

What about the BIGGEST problem that arises during Empire:
Obi-Wan: "That boy was our last hope."
Yoda: "No, there is another!"

HELLOOOOO!!!!
Obi-Wan was there when Luke and Leia were born!

He doesn't say that he didn't know about Leia. He is stating the fact that Luke is the last of the Jedi Knights. Leia who maybe strong with the force has no Jedi abilities of any kind.

Not really. Yoda's response indicates that he is informing Ben of something Ben was not aware of (the presence of Leia). It's only after the fact (when the prequels hit the scene) that people tried to claim what you are suggesting.

I'm surprised the Flannel Man never tried to change it. You know, re-record the dialogue with Hayden speaking for Ben and Jar Jar speaking for Yoda. It can be all out of sync too, like those kung-fu movies.

Hell, let's just CG Yoda out and have Jar Jar give Luke all his training.
