Article about Lucas original prequel script:
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/n...-revealed.html
At least that would've cleared up the Leia line about remembering her mother.

I think that also clears up the incredibly stupid scene were Padme dies because she "loses the will to live." She didn't want to survive to care for her newborn children??

And I like that originally they had Anakin not know Padme was pregnant. I think that makes more sense, so Vader wouldn't be wondering if his child had actually survived or not. Of course, giving Luke the same last name was probably a dumb move

Aww man. I didn't hate the prequels like most people did, I kind of liked them, and I'm usually the guy defending Lucas's creative decisions... but it's things like this that really make me shake my head in disappointment.

Yeah. Disney needs to take THAT and re-make the prequels.

I thought I'd share this. It's a mini-documentary covering the sources and work put into the despecialized editions (Fan made). I love these versions of the Original Trilogy .

Question Revenge Of The Sith Blu-Ray distorted or overly grainy

Has anyone else had a problem with excessive grain or distortion of some sort in ROTS like I have here?

There are more than half a dozen scenes in the film where it seems that there is a whiteout of grain going on all over the entire frame. It usually happens during darker scenes but this one was a lighter scene. I have never seen any other Blu-Ray look this bad. Does anyone else's look this bad? I took this pic at 57:50 during the film with my phone. Its so bad that even my phone was able to pick it up.

If anyone could help me out here that would be awesome because I still have time to return it if its a defective disc.

Do you have your sharpness cranked? Shouldn't be passed 40% and is actually supposed to be at 0.

The colour pallet looks so much better in that despecialized edition as is overall detail with the fixed contrast and black crush issues.

Wow indeed. That bit about the homemade 'scanner' blew my mind because it means that Star Wars has gone full circle, from the ILM guys cobbling together their own custom optical gear to this modern day band of electronic kit-bashers.

The slight irony of Harmy's efforts is that he's always changing and updating it, much like a certain Mr Lucas. The end result is entirely different, sure, one man wanting to look forward and the other back, but the similarity still jazzes me because in lieu of an officially restored GOUT Harmy's versions will never truly be finished.

Still, what's the betting that if Lucas finally relents and restores the originals they won't be nearly as good as Harmy's Despecialised Editions?

My apologies if this has been mentioned already but there's an article in the newest Star Wars Insider about the digital editions of the "making of" books that is coming out in the fall. It's mentioned that additional deleted scenes/dailies will be included in them.

Sucks that they couldn't be put into another boxed set. I'm reminded of the "Making Magic" set...

I guess we'll only have crappy quality versions of them.

Seeing this really ticks me off! If GL cared about his movies and fans this set could of been the set of the century! I'm so happy he's out of the picture! I hope Disney will do us right! Bye GL and good riddance! Don't let the door hit you in the behind on the way out This also goes towards the yes man Rick McCallum
