Yeah, I remember the whole motorcycle thing. I live not far from Lliam Neeson (the day of Natasha's funeral was absolutely crazy around here). Even if the motorcycle injuries were the actual reason why he didn't appear in Sith, I do remember reading somewhere that he was very disappointed with how the role of Qui-Gon turned out.

Whatever Lliam thinks regarding the role... I, as a fan think it (along with Darth Maul) could have/shoild have been a lot more, especially considering how perfect Qui-Gon's casting was.

Unfortunately, this is off-topic since we are discussing Star Wars in a Star Wars BD RELEASE-ONLY thread. I guess it's citations for the lot of us.

Oh, I did! Although the picture was HUGE, I was a tad disappointed; They had chopped off the sides, making it appear 4:3, and deleted multiple scenes including alotta the scenes between Anakin and Padme (which I didn't mind because love scenes aren't needed on an IMAX screen ). We also lost our original intro to Yoda; for some reason after the hit on Padme's ship, it cut right to Obi-Wan and Anakin on the elevator. They even cut out Dooku's last line to Obi-Wan before the execution ("Then I'm afraid it will be difficult to secure your release."). The picture and sound were awesome though! My favorite sound effect in Ep. II is Jango's seismic charges, and they sounded too cool! As did the end battle, of course.

Actually, I specifically remember this quote from him regarding the Star Wars films: "Well, it's gotten a bit silly, hasn't it?" That's all I remember exactly, but he was definitely lamenting the prequels in that interview I read. For whatever reason he didn't appear in the other two prequels, it didn't seem like he cared too much anyway.

Update: Ok, here's a link to a brief article about it from theforce.net

Liam Neeson in the June 1999 issue of Redbook:
"Film is a director's medium. We are basically puppets. Producers earn all the money, and you get the sense that they hate actors. The crews are treated like slaves. ... I don't think I can live with the inauthenticity of movies anymore. I don't like watching them, especially my own stuff."

He also (inaccurately) announced in that interview that he was retiring from movies completely and focusing on stage work.

I don't remember seeing Liam in a movie since then but on the real I'd be surprised if such an anti-movie guy ever did another one after the death of his wife.

Didn't he just star in The A-Team? He's actually been quite active since 1999. I really enjoyed him in Taken and Batman Begins.

Unfortunately, I did. I believe they announced that it was the first full length film in Imax, and boy was it awful. It was basically blown up, making the entire audience dizzy, and then broke the imax projector, causing the theatre to give us all refunds. I was so happy I had already seen the movie normally.

Did you take a survey? I'm just curious how you know it made the "entire audience" dizzy? And are you really saying that the movie is what caused the projector to break down? As opposed to some other mechanical failure?

When I saw this my heart jumped (I thought there was info, release date, cover art etc), but the spoiler wasn't that . Damn you for getting my excited.

I put Clone Wars Season 1 on this morning and got through Disc 1 and was very impressed. This seems even more interesting than the movie and the space battles where awesome. I love it.

I got it on DVD, cause it was alot cheaper than the Blu ray version, but since I love it so much, I'm trying to decide if its worth upgrading Season 1 to Blu ray or just buying Season 2 on Blu ray? Thoughts guys? Is there much difference in PQ?

Sorry about that, I meant it's officially 2011 now, the year of Star Wars on blu-ray. Well George Lucas himself announced it to be coming in 2011, but you're right we're still waiting for another official announcement for the dates and details. What a year to look forward too, guess I'm too excited.

Its all good. I'm excited too, there are alot of great titles coming out. I know Spring (US Fall) will come around soon enough, but I just wanna know more details, eg pricing, will it be released in a 6 film box set or seperate trilogies, confirmend release date etc.

I'm actually really hoping its released in nice special edition box set with all 6 films.

RE the IMAX etc, IMAX is fullframe (4:3), so why would one want to see a 2.35.1 movie on that screen?

Also, I think IMAX should have used 70mm in the 2.20.1 ratio. It would have made a lot more sense, but ho hum.
