Movies are easy to do has TV shows are hard to do and cost more money.

Didn't The X-Files start to produce their episodes in HD around the 6th season or so, with an eye on the future? I'm probably mis-remembering something from over a decade ago, but I thought this was why the aspect ratio of the show changed between the earlier and later seasons.

One thing is for sure: No way, they'd only include the OOT.

The only way the OOT might be included is a special features, otherwise they it wouldn't work as one whole Saga very well.

I am also hoping for 12 discs. The Feature with commentary tracks and perhaps seamless branching with or without some deleted scenes, and a bonus BD with supplements in HD.

2. Like everyone else, where's the source of this rumor? You typed it up as your wishlist? Or did it come from a website you can at least claim they have a "reliable source"? Otherwise, rumor of the worst kind.

Cause now everyone's ears are perking up and they have hope where it really had never existed, so when the announcement is made and the OT is, as expected and told 1000 times by Lucas, not included, the disappointment will be 100 times worse and another string of endless *****ing and moaning will start.

It was posted on theforce.net boards last night but was taken down this morning it was also stated that there will a separate packaging set that will house the set in a millenium falcon collectors set.

And the reason why they are using the Panasonic booth is to show off the blu ray quality and there will be a teaser trailer to promote the set.

Yeah, the only way I see the unaltered OT is via seemless branching or (most likely) special feature ala the last DVD release.
