Don't be too shocked if Disney bites the bullet and has Fox distribute the next trilogy, just for the sake of tradition and good will to the fan base.
well, Disney did change the logo in Toy Story, and that was part of the film (more accurately, its music), like the Indiana Jones films you say.

So life will definitely go on.

Honestly, I don't care if the Fox music isn't on the new films. I'm positive that the filmmakers and everyone at Disney and Lucasfilm are aware about how linked the 20th Century Fox music is with the Star Wars intro, and are going to come up with something that isn't the same but does a good job segueing into the Star Wars intro.

The only issue I'd have is watching the classic films without it, especially if it was the UOT. That I feel is an integral part of the history of the films.

Exactly! That's what I've been trying to say! To me, the 6 films ARE Fox films and the thought having to remove the logo and fanfare (and Distributed By" credit) from the prequels and V and VI really upsets me. But Disney wouldn't be that dumb to do that would they?

One point though is that I don't see why Disney and Fox should do at least a 5-year partnership maybe even dedicated solely on the upcoming Star Wars films. To me, they seem on good terms with each other.

I think blu-ray.com should sell the distribution rights to this thread!

They just officially announced the Digital Movie Collection. They aired a trailer during the NCAA Tourney as well!

Just saw that on VUDU. Episodes 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 are compatible with Disney Movies Anywhere. Episode 4 is not. On VUDU, you can only buy them bundled with Bonus Features. Nice, I guess, although I prefer to keep my collection movie-only - that's why I have the discs.

I think I'll pass on this round. Even the sale price is $90 for all 6 movies. Hopefully, when The Force Awakens comes out, we'll get new releases with Digital HD codes.

The article on StarWars.com also lists the special features, which from what I saw, are nothing new. If you owned the DVD versions of the films and the blu-ray set, then you should have all the special features the Digital Collection includes. At least that's what I see.

It looks like each film has new features..

I guess I didn't notice the "Conversations" section on each film. I know the "Discoveries from Inside" section has similar things that were included either on the blu-ray set or the dvd sets. But yes, the conversations would be brand new and have never been available till now.

Also worth noting. they've posted individual trailers for all 6 films. 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 begin solely with the Lucasfilm logo, whereas Episode 4 has the new post-2009 Fox logo and Lucasfilm logo.

Wonder if that means The Force Awakens won't have the Disney logo, and just go straight in with the Lucasfilm logo.

Idk if this was brought up yet, but the way Disney has these titled, they don't have numerals to them. Like it would be Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, but it's titled Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. They will always still have the numerals in the films but marketing wise, it sounds like they are trying to change it to go along with The Force Awakens.
