Like the last Spiderman movie did? God, caught that on tv and couldn't believe they actually released it with those effects. It is all a matter of time and money - you want it to look good, it costs more and takes longer and even Lucas can't wait forever to finish it. With Disney in charge now, I wouldn't bet on them fixing or redoing any effects. They are going to concentrate on new movies instead so these are probably as good as they are ever going to look. Hey, it happens to all movies - those stop-motion dinosaur movies looked great when they first came out but don't hold up now, even stuff that is just a few years old is starting to really show its age now.

Actually the 3D in it was pretty bad. Not really upset they didn't release the rest if that is how they were going to look.

With all due respect: What are you doing in this thread then?

4 out of the six were directed by him, and all of them were his creations.

Of course, folks here are grossly exaggerating, as the VFX in it look terrific, for the most part.

The only thing I really think GL should have added is one of those Padme family scenes at her parents' house, as they added a lot to their relationship's believability. It was a mistake to leave out IMO, but I know they exist, so I myself don't really need them in the movie itself.

I love Yoda's scenes with the Younglings. The Yoda vs. Dokuu fight.
Poggle the Lesser, Geonosis, Kamino, and Obi Wan's detective story, sort of art noir, allo the scenes on Tatooine are pure magic, Watto, Padme's amazing dress, Anakin's first grave failure, Anakin and Padme talking in the meadow, and subsequently rolling in it. The arena scenes. Count Dokuu and his solar sail spaceship, the beinning of the clone army, their secret marriage at the end, their first kiss on Naboo. Sure me. I LOVE this film!

ROTS is the best, but it's too heartbreaking. It's the most epic and emotional film ever made.

Yeah, you can think I am some blind fanboy all you want (I know who you are), but I don't care.
I enjoy George Lucas' films because they have everything great films need to have.

Damn customs, who are holding my replacement loader ransom. Otherwise, I would be watching them this week!!!!

I would rate all the SW films equally in their own right, except for ROTJ, which is clearly the weakest of the saga, so far. IMHO, of course.
Nothing wrong with enjoying it. There are things I like about Clones too and have fond memories seeing it in the theater when it came out in 2002 and during that time period. It was definitely cool see Star Wars in a different way than The Phantom Menace also.

Obi-Wan was going to be the one to go off alone on Tatooine and bring Anakin back.
It was partially filmed and then George decided that it should be Qui-Gon.

What I'm doing is lurking around in this thread and hoping that original theatrical trilogy gets announced, then I read around 10 pages of absolute nothing/copyright wars and start venting my frustration like in the last post.

All that is happening, again is pointless bickering and arguing.
6 movies exist, all are good and ALL have some bad acting and dialogue, some shoddy FX.
Neither Trilogy is better than the other.

This Thread NEEDS to be locked and never re-opened!
The next time a Set is announced, we can have another Thread, and hopefully one that is more civil!

Richardson dying?

He said he hated the green screen stuff and the way films were made.

There are six current films, but I would say only three are even remotely good and they aren't even out on Blu-ray yet.

No leadership? Must have really boosted their confidence.

Just started watching the Return of the Jedi 1995 VHS right now. I've had the "Faces" box set almost since it came out. Loads of nostalgia happening. I just dusted off my VCR for the first time in awhile and hooked it up to my surround system for the first time. The sound is more powerful than I expected (admittedly, my expectations were low). Looking forward to some Lapti Nek!

And for the record, anybody who said AOTC looked like a video game clearly did not play video games in 2002. Its a little dated now but still looks pretty great overall. If you're not isolating each shot in a gif of course.
