Really? Did not know that, but they've gotten Kermit for other cutaway gags so I'm surprised they couldn't land him for that. Been a while since I've seen those, should give em a rewatch.

I have EVERY edition of the movies on my computer.
I own ALL (except LaserDisk) Home Video Releases.

You mis-understood what I meant.
I ONLY want the Special Features from the Digital Release, NOT the movies...

Agreed, Emperor Palpatine cloning Luke Skywalker sounds about as ridiculous as an army of cloned Jango Fetts ordered by Palpatine to fight robots & create his future empire.

He planned on it, according to the Zahn books, if he couldn't get Luke to turn to the dark side. He didn't get his chance since he was killed by Vader. I was just making the point that the Zahn books are no more ridiculous than the awful prequels.

No, he never even planned on cloning Luke.
Palpatine only had plans to keep himself going...
It was Thrawn and Joruus C'Boath who decided to clone Luke.

Palpatine wanted a new apprentice. That's the whole point of him trying to bring Luke to the dark side and strike down Vader. Could have sworn the Zahn books said he planned on cloning Luke if he couldn't have the real one, but maybe I'm confusing him with C'Boath. It's been over a decade since I read the trilogy. In any case, the books are more entertaining than the prequels.

While I don't happen to believe that Disney is going to release the UOTs, that comment from Disney means nothing. Those types of replies come from a script. Disney would never let anyone say anything before they're ready to announce. If, for example, the UOTs were going to be released around the release date of the new film, you wouldn't hear anything until December and Disney would absolutlely deny anything until that time. Marketing today is like a military campaign - absolutely confidentiality and secrecy until they're ready and the only people who would know would know on a need-to-know basis.

Dark Empire is where Palpatine tried to lure Luke to the Dark Side.

No they weren't boring, you're just trying to find another excuse to bash the prequels.

No he is speaking the truth (imho). Just because someone (like me) thinks the PT light saber fights (especially Clones and Sith) were stupid, computer generated, unrealistic pieces of dog dung does not mean i am "bashing". I am speaking the truth as to how I see it. I actually liked TPM saber fight at least it was a little more realistic. And while we are on the subject I just never understood how in Clones and Sith he made all the other Jedi suck at fighting except for the main characters.

The only Prequel Saber Fight I did not like was Anakin vs Obi-Wan.
There were too many "Obstacles"
The floating Lava Droids, the Tarzan section... other than those parts, I enjoyed that fight, it's just those parts made it my least favourite.

Agreed. That duel should have kept the focus on Anakin/Obi-Wan and the raw emotion flowing between the two. The obstacles distracted too much from what should have been the most raw, emotional, fight of the entire Saga.

I think the Obi-Wan/Qui-Gon/Maul fight in TPM is the best lightsabre fight in the entire Saga.

Having the movies in the cloud allows you to stream them on your phone without taking up valuable storage space.

But either way, I wouldn't buy those terrible edits (which is why I didn't buy the Blu-ray).

It's not his acting people hate.
And an "unlikable whiny crap head" is exactly the kind of person who potentially grows up to be a murderer and is exactly how many teens and young men behave (even if they don't grow up to become serial killers). If his character was completely likable, how could they rationalize his path to the dark side?

Anyone who has raised teens know that at least for a few years, they frequently exhibit many of the same traits that Anakin did: they resent authority, they think they know more than adults around them, they revolt against traditional power structures, they're nasty and angry, they let their hormones dominate; they have strong reflexes, but they react impulsively and they take risks. They also have a sense of entitlement. The only thing Anakin didn't do was turn to substance abuse, but he did exhibit the paranoia of someone who was a substance abuser. You might also make the case that he suffered from PTSD from being a slave as a youth and from the guilt over his mother's fate. He also lacked a father, so it wasn't surprising that he turned to a father figure, although one could question why it was Palpatine instead of Obi-wan.

Hayden's acting when he was obnoxious wasn't all that terrible. His acting when he was calm in spite of the terrible script and probable terrible direction is what was bad, especially his romantic scenes with Padmé. As bad as the writing of those scenes were, I have to fault both actors as well.

Yes, but in the old EU, Vader recovers Luke's severed hand and Anakin's lightsaber at Cloud City to bring them back to Coruscant, and briefly contemplates cloning Luke as his own apprentice. Palpatine intuits Vader's intentions, and orders him to relocate the items to his Spaarti cloning facility on Wayland. Years later Joruus C'baoth discovers them at Mount Tantiss and secretly commissions his own clone, who is eventually killed by Mara Jade.
