I was honestly expecting more than $100 at Amazon (so the MSRP would've been more). Preordered without batting an eye. Great price and I'm sure it'll drop somewhat as September roles around.

I am still not 100% Pleased with the Box Set. Fans still can't choose which version they want to see.

The price is far less than I imagined. To be honest I'd have been happy with a 299.99 Retail price on a Ultimate set with all cuts of the original films. (Im not even a hardcore fan, I just would like to from time to time see the classic versions. I prefer the 1997 Cuts to the most recent changes that were made, I believe even John Williams score was scalled back on many scenes on the last edition released)

I just can't imagine Lucas would not want to presere his original films. To think he let his old negative go bad and not try to preserve them like I said in a previous post would be a huge regret on his part. You really never know what you'd want to release in the future.

The pre-order prices seem nice, but I am surprised so many would want the item shipped to them. I am really picky about my cases and I have to pick this up in the store myself. I can't chance a dented up box arriving.

I still can't believe how cheap it is... then again it is 6 films.

Wish we got more word on technical specs and packaging artwork.

$140 for the complete set is not bad. I was thinking $200 and over. I paid $95 for the Aliens set and to be honest Aliens ranks far below Star Wars in my favorite movie franchises. Simply put Day One for the Ultimate Set for me.

Considering it's three discs worth of supplement material not including whatever supplement material that's with each film disc, that's a lot of material.

The Alien Anthology only had two discs worth of supplements and that packed a lot.

What the hell could Lucasfilm do with three Blu Ray discs filled with Star Wars goodies?

I think it's almost a certainty that we'll get a retrospective documentary for each trilogy....

Why is everyone always in a rush to pre-order immediately? There will be sales when they go to the stores at or about that price.

And, unless I am wrong, because they are shipped, doesnt that delay receipt of the movies a day or so vs. getting it on actual release day? Seems i'd rather wait and just go pick it up the day it comes out on sale to ensure I have it.
