If you're cool with radically different colors and resolution that's barely over 720p.

For the record, whether it's vinyl or CD, it doesn't contain the complete soundtracks for the Prequel Trilogy.

Strange. The vinyl soundtrack set has the original songs of Lapti Nek and Ewok Celebration on them. So do the digital collection. But the cd set doesn't. That sucks. I didn't check for the full soundtracks for the prequels because frankly, episode 4-6 is the music i grew up with and is really all i care about.

True. Is the soundtrack complete on them for all three options?

Note that the version of "Lapti Nek" on the OST is the same version which was released as various singles, not the version which appears in the film.

Um, not to be rude, but isn't that what i just posted? LOL Looks like episodes 4-6 are complete on the vinyl and digital sets but not the cd set. Unless of course, they jumped the gun on posting the track info for the cd set. According to the actual press release, they are all supposed to be the "original" soundtracks so i am hoping the tracks showing for the cd set is wrong. The tracks match up to the Ultimate Trilogy Edition that came out for the special editions. And as stated above, the prequel soundtracks aren't the "full" or "ultimate" versions of those. I know Episode I had an Ultimate edition that had a lot more music on it than the regular release but these will all be the original releases, so anything they made available after that won't be on them.

True. But if it's the only way to get the music then i'll take it. Same for Ewok Celebration. The Ultimate Trilogy Editions don't have either song on them.

The vinyl editions of the original trilogy OST are not "complete:" they are reissues of the original 1977, 1980, and 1983 releases, which are missing a number of tracks and music cues compared to the later Special Edition-era OST CDs.

Say what you will and think what you like about the prequels, but dismissing the scores is missing out on some wonderful music.

I'm not saying they are bad scores or anything. I have those too. The originals with the older songs like Lapti Nek and Ewok Celebration just have more appeal to me as i only have the Ultimate Trilogy Editions of those and they are very different in content.

Well as he stated, they are re-issues of the "original" soundtracks. Some cues and music were added later in the Ultimate Trilogy Editions but some was also removed such as Laptin Nek and Ewok Celebration. The key word for these are "original". Were the originals complete? No. But they were the first.
I guess since they kept releasing different versions of the movie, they had to screw up the soundtracks too and release them a zillion times too. LOL

The "Album" one sounds terrible in my opinion. Why are they adding reverb? Also the voice sounds too harsh.

The album version is probably the complete song before it was edited into the movie. Then they edited out the reverb during the movie editing. I agree though, it is very echo-ey. Would have been nice if they had just removed that before putting it on the album. But then they wouldn't get to re-release it again. At some point i'm sure we'll get the "definitive" soundtracks. Maybe 40th anniversary or something. LOL Just like waiting for the UOT.

A bit off-topic, but is anyone playing the Battlefront beta? I'm not normally a fan of first-person shooters, but I'm having a blast!

I've seen the screenshots and the films themselves dozens of times over.

They aren't "radically" different in color.
