Don't count on it. We've already been pretty much told it won't be. Thank goodness.

You do realize if you just buy the OT Trilogy, you don't get any of the extras. Right?

I don't see Lucas re-editing Episode II, even though it needs it. Love the films but Episode II is the one that got hurt the most by digital technology and the fact that Lucas changed his mind late in the game when it came to certain sequences (The Droid Factory sequence).

Williams' score is chopped to hell and frankly, ILM wasn't quite ready for the work load they did on Episode II. But all that R and D in Episode II brought Episode III, which is the best looking Star Wars film by a mile...

I think the tweaks they made to AotC for DVD were much better.

Especially Padme's reaction to falling out of the Republic Gunship. And the clearer damage to Jango's rocketpack.

I can't wait to buy this. I'll definitely be picking up the "Complete Saga" not only for the features but because I love all the movies. I'll probably sit down and watch every movie back to back one Saturday...September can't come soon enough!

The extras aren't worth me having to sit through hearing such stellar dialog as "You are so... beautiful."
"It's only because I'm so in love."
"No, it's because I'm so in love with you."

I've heard better dialog in porn...

Just a thought.
I even canceled the first pre-order I had placed before the link on this site was up, to use the link. That's how loyal I am.

Hell yeah! There are so many gorgeous shots in AOTC!

I love every single one from the moment we see Count Dooku in his solar sailer. The Coruscant vistas with that sunset are pure gold!
Also the final Clone Army shots are simply out of this world awesome!
Many, many others along with them!

Well I won't buy the prequels, so I will have to wait for the OT set with extras, which we'll get eventually.

Still beats Harrison Ford in A New Hope. "Easy, you call that easy!" Someone needed acting lessons.

Guess my Laserdisc (like THX1138) versions will still be the best there is.

Don't count on it. The Empire of Dreams bonus disc wasn't re-released outside of the initial set.

Ever occur to you it's because of Lucas' crappy writing? I'll take Ford as an actor over what's his name anyday. And Natalie Portman is a terrific actress, but she was God awful in the prequels - again it's the director stupid.

Edit: not saying you're stupid, was just using the expression. You may be misguided, but not stupid.

AOTC definitely needs a reedit. Story wise, too much cut but the pacing is some of the best out of all 6 movies. Started off a bit slow, but the last hour was non-stop and ended on such a high.

RotS is the opposite and starts off with a bang and screams for most of it, but I felt a bit let down at the ending.

Probably not. Outside of some action figures and such, there wasn't any retailer exclusives for the DVDs.

Besides that, no one can truly call themselves a SW fan if they are excluding half the saga, PERIOD!

Uhh you don't have to watch them if you don't like them, to see the extras. Comment just doesn't make sense IMO.
