RIP Kenny Baker. Keep on rollin'!

I predict Leia will have a Ripley moment in Ep. 8. Snoke and Kylo will be kicking Rey's ass, when Leia shows up and says something like, "Get your hooks out of my son," whips out a lightsaber, and lays the smack down on Snoke. Rey escapes, Leia dies, and the seeds of redemption are planted in Kylo.

During the fight with Snoke, Leia bounces around like Yoda in the prequels screaming gibberish about walking carpets in her way and she's an f'ing Stanley Steamer, b!tches!

It's the "pull the string!" moment from Ed Wood all over again.

Kenny Baker gave a more lifelike performance in a tin can than Hayden Christensen did during the prequels.

RIP

I don't know what this serves. Is it to prove how much more aware you are? I don't buy it. I'm sorry. I don't want to be contentious, but this smells really foul. Way to steer things back to yourself.

George Lucas could die after carrying 100 sick children out of a burning hospital, and people would still spam his obit with hate for the Prequels and Special Editions.

Yes, but to be fair, people who do that kind of thing aren't really people.

! They can share the credit though, surely? He did more than just sit inside the suit.

I had a soft spot for Kenny Baker. In interviews he always seemed to be chirpy and inclusive, and had no illusions about his stature as an actor (in more ways than one) but was still genuinely delighted at having been fortunate enough to play such an appreciated role.

The children were sick of edits to his movies.

Yeah, didn't mean to come off as self-righteous and probably did. Apologies.

I'm sure this has been discussed many times in this thread, but I don't understand why Attack of the Clones looks like complete garbage. Is it the video source? The final color timing? The redone color timing? It was shot in 1080p, yet it looks significantly worse than Zodiac or The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. What gives? As a fan, I'd love to know wtf happened and who made the choices that led to the 2011 Blu-ray.

It was the first major movie shot entirely on digital film (1080p) and does look a bit soft. However, it looks far from garbage.

It's arguably still the worst looking of the set in terms of PQ though.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan. My Attack of the Clones DVD was stuck in my player in 2002/2003. But the BD release is shockingly bad. The caps on that site show an uptick in clarity, but not much. And the bigger issue is color timing. What the hell happened?
