I don't have any trouble watching and enjoying them, and I don't have any mental problems that I'm aware of either, although by the very nature of mental problems it's possible. An online IQ test gave me a 135%!

The standard of story telling would of been rejected by audiences and critics and the studio executives. The sequels would of never been made. The prequels he did make good ones, they would of been good if they were to be his bread and butter like the originals were, he would had to put more effort in making good films so as to make sure he would of been able to make sequels, and to secure a career in making movies.

Matter of fact, seeing them in order enhances the experience.
Not in my opinion. Movies should always be watched in release order when watching them for the first time. Also the originals are just so much better so they should be watched first.

Not buying this one for a second. I watched the Marvel movies in historical order and they play very cool indeed (including the Marvel one shots).

Most that criticize are doing so with OT fan prejudice.

I root for Anakin as a protaganist and he is the Star Wars story.

Watching the final versions IV-VI first would be plain unimaginable.

Lucas designed them as a final vision and like them or not as an OT fan, they do work to a new viewer. I tried them out twice now with people that never saw the 6 movies before. Without saying a word Anakin was picked as the main character. The emotioal impact of Hadyn at the end would be lost seeing it out of order, along with other beats put in. They have a story telling motiff hat I think works better than most movies and the continued support is proof of this IMHO.

I guess it was unimaginable to millions of people who saw the OT in theaters or grew up with them before 1999.

The OT is just a better set of movies than the prequels. And just one of many reasons why it's better is because the OT doesn't need the PT to exist, but the PT is nothing without the OT.

Try having having someone who's never seen a Star Wars movie watch only the PT and compare their reaction to someone who's watched only the OT.

Was I talking about pre special edition when I made the statement about unimaginable?

Please read closer next time.

Of course it is unimagineable to OT fans. I said that. OT fans in lots of cases will only see things in one way and Lucas is seen ss the devil for changing the vision.

The prequels can also work by themselves, but not as rewarding. I have never stated the prequels are better. But I do think the 6 movies are better than OT nonspecial.

I don't think the special editions are that different. There are a lot of annoying changes but they are still the same movies. They can easily be watched first and it makes sense to watch movies in release order. Prequels are called prequels for a reason. Lucas never really knew exactly what would even happen in the prequels when he made the originals. Episode 1 was actually the first Star Wars movie I saw but I think the original trilogy is much better.

That is only one little thing. It doesn't make much sense in my opinion. Anakin should be old there because he was good again when he died.

And do not forget the further explanation by Yoda in the second film (Episode V).

Which doesn't say much, considering most of the movies are already in chronological order, with the exception of the first Captain America movie...

R1, UOT, TFA is the real order. Prequels and Special Editions if you lost a bet or just hate yourself.

LOL

It's a great order if you know the universe.
But I guess for a first watcher I would recommend IV-VII and than R1.

But like with the Hobbit movies I am on the fence about wether to watch chronologically or in release order.

I lean to release order on both R1 with OT and Force Awakens and LOTR and Hobbit. But it's close.

C'mon guys, we're all Star Wars fans in some way.

Shouldn't matter too much who prefers one viewing order over another. Also, shouldn't matter if you are an OT, PT or SE fan...everyone likes whatever they like.
