Not a "sequence", but the credits themselves are quite a bit longer with a different John Williams medley than the theatrical; different version of Rey's theme and Scherzo for X-Wings added in. Literally every carpenter is named. (Not saying that's a bad thing... it just goes on for a lonnnng time)

That doesn't make any sense. If they can't become Force ghosts, "their ability to do so" doesn't exist.

You called it "the official stance on the matter". Now you're calling it speculation. Speculation is not the official stance on any matter. You claimed a link contradicted it being a light side thing. Now you're calling it speculation. How does speculation contradict anything? You talked about "official canon", which sounds like a reference to the existence of an actual canon source. However, no official canon source has turned up.

Even if we once again ignore the question of why he would be studying the light side as opposed to the dark side, it would still be completely irrelevant even if he did, because we know that Lucas' explanation involves no such thing.

And how would Vader know that unless he looked into it?

So in other words, you have no comprehension skills. I appreciate your attempt to conflate the context of one quote and combine it with another.

Yeah, so Vader saw Obi-Wan disappear and just went on with his day. Makes sense. Wasn't curious at all about this ability he'd never heard of before and just went to lunch and ate a sandwich and didn't question it at all or wonder if it was an ability he could learn. And then by not doing so, he somehow knew he couldn't do it. Oh wait...Vader doesn't eat because Lucas never gave an explanation for it.

When I die I am going to come back as a Force ghost but I am going to look like Brad Pitt circa Thelma And Louise.

There is nothing established in canon that indicates force ghosts have sex, so looking like Brad Pitt will get you nothing.

I don't know, Obi-Wan brushes against some branches on Degobah and they clearly move. Plus he sits down on a fallen tree trunk without falling through so apparently they are corporeal. And if they have the body functions to blink and talk then surely they can still "get it up".

I don’t think Lucas even put that much thought into it one way or the other. They just slapped fuzzy lines around the the actor in post, and called it good.

Force Ghost erection... well, there’s something I wasn’t ever expecting to think about...

It really doesn't matter what he did, does it?

The real question is: did Vader ever go to the mystery planet of Destiny?

I saw it a few times in the theater - IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 3D, standard...news to me, especially since I always stay for the credits whether there's a tag or not.

My friends just did an episode of their Star Wars podcast Blast Points with David W. Collins and Collins mentions how the end credits music on the soundtrack is not the music on the home video release.

Their podcast goes in to some odd places. They have a whole episode about Aunt Beru and her different voices. And with two, so far, podcasts dedicated to the mono mixes of A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, the definition of "original release" is a lot more vast than most would think.

It kind of jumped out at me when I first watched the Blu-ray. The faster tempo version of Rey's theme in the original credits suite was one of my favorite sections of the score.

If more people needed to be credited, I'm glad they were, but I wish they had found a different way to edit the music.

Are you sure you're not putting the soundtrack score in your memory?

The Phantom Menase's Celebration song is also different on the soundtrack.
It was supposed to be fixed to the movie version when they did the Ultimate Edition soundtrack, but for some reason they used the previous album version.

Anyone know why it is different and also why they didn't put the correct one on the other OST?

Dunno why there are those who complain about the new cover art. Reminds me of the classic DVDs

Them old artworks look good. That's the difference.

I have a theory why there is a listing for the original Star Wars but you can't actually order it yet. Disney has decided to only release the UOT versions and they need time to correct the artwork and remove "A New Hope" from the packaging. You read it here first.

Very sure; I saw it several times in theaters; a few after I'd listened to the soundtrack. The change wasn't there until the home release.

Also, most theatrical reviews of the film list the running time as 135 minutes; the Blu-ray/DVD/digital release runs 138.

Unforturnately yours is the only time I've seen it claimed differently about the credits. I can't find anything to say they changed anything for the home release (and the aformentioned multiple viewings theatrically on my part).

It's been discussed in the dedicated TFA thread, and at least once in this one: the post (not mine) you initially responded to.

It's also mentioned on IMDB's "Alternate Versions" entry for the movie. And in this video from 28:45 - 29:23, you can hear some of the "Rey's Theme" section of the theatrical end credits. There's a cut in middle, but it is very clearly the same as what's on the soundtrack album's "Finale" track, rather than the concert version of Rey's Theme that's used on the Blu-ray/DVD/digital version.
