Now I may very well be wrong, and I'll own up to it if I am, but I think the signs are there. I fully expect Ep 9 to make less than Ep 8, it'll still do well of course, but I don't think we're going to see that traditional third film increase. Especially considering Jumanji 2 was so well received and SW will be going up against it's third film, along with 1917, and Cats.
Maybe it's because The Rise of Skywalker's marketing push hasn't kicked in yet.

Definitely hopeful the 4K set is going to have the unaltered trilogy whenever it comes out. The remastered soundtracks Disney put out last year have Yub Nub instead of the special edition celebration theme.

Sure it'll get more over time, but that's not what I'm referring to. It's received less searches than the Last Jedi did when it's trailer first debuted.

The reason Han went back to smuggling was because it was a coping mechanism for losing his son. It seems that you somehow forgot what the character motivations were.
Han solos defining character trait has been to help people out he empathizes with. He does it every time. Beckett. Qira. Chewie. Lando. Luke and Obi. Leia. The rebellion ect. Every freaking time. And you want to tell me the only person he abandones is his son without trying to save him? His charater motivations were complete shit in tfa just like Leia and Lukes. They were all written completely shitty.

Yeah, but it’s still pretty shameless ripoff. I don’t love TLJ, but at least it did something NEW, to the point where it pissed off some people. Abrams doesn’t seem like he had an original idea in the entire film.

There's no good rational reason for why Rose, in particular, should be getting this much hatred.

We never saw a defecting Stormtrooper in any of the movies. We also never had a hero like Rey before.

Hardcore Star Wars fans are in the least...ignorant, in the most...bizarre, to put it nicely. They fail to realize their precious Space Opera is what it is because of time. Only the OT is what's considered classic. But if you notice, the PT is generally thought back on in fondness now, compared to the ST.

At this rate, your disgust for TLJ, which at many of your ages if likely adding to everything else that is clogging and weakening your aortic valves, is going to be beloved and heralded as the next ESB in about 10 years time.

Back in 1980, people have actually had similar complaints to TESB that people have towards TLJ.

I think there's a gulf between something being beloved and something having vocal apologists.

I got real excited when those we're released that we were getting the unaltered cuts. I've since lost the faith.

How am I ignorant? I have absolutely no issues with any of the main cast or supporting. I wish them no ill will. I also don't have "disgust" with TLJ. I think it's a terrible movie, most definitely, but the movie's existence does not make my blood boil in any way, shape or form. So take that condescending crap elsewhere.

I've been here almost 10 years as it is, I won't be here another 10. I doubt blu-rays will that big in 2030 either.

So do you actually think The Last Jedi is just as good a film as The Empire Strikes Back?

Honestly shes not a bad character but her entire on screen story was horrible and poorly written around her. Shes the character I had the least problem with.

Not the way Johnson wrote it. His son was being manipulated and instead of helping him his best friend tries to kill his son and he just gives up on him instantly. Its against EVERYTHING the Luke and Han characters were.
