i don't care. Why would I want to watch them in SD?
All the blu-ray, dvd, digital copy combo packs I only use for comparisons to show how much better Blu-ray is than dvd. Never watch them though. I have never downloaded any of my digital copies as i refuse to watch the movies in shitty staabdard definition

Think about it.... If you go to the trouble of buying a film in the best possible presentation, how many times are you going to want to watch a crappy version?

It should be illegal to watch an itunes version of something you own on Blu.

Not really a surprise.

Plus there's DVD copies already for anyone who wants portable copies for DVD players in the car and such.

Since everybody likes "Yub Nub", I thought I would post the lyrics... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np6vAuS0KNs

Yub nub, eee chop yub nub;
Ah toe meet toe peechee keene,
G'noop dock fling oh ah.
Yahwah, eee chop yahwah;
Ah toe meet toe peechee keene,
G'noop dock fling oh ah.
Coatee chah tu yub nub;
Coatee chah tu yahwah;
Coatee chah tu glowah;
Allay loo ta nuv.
Glowah, eee chop glowah;
Ya glowah pee chu nee foam,
Ah toot dee awe goon daa.
Coatee cha tu goo; (Yub nub!)
Coatee cha tu doo; (Yahwah!)
Coatee cha tu too; (Ya chaa!)
Allay loo ta nuv,

Well as you said LOTR EE is not confirmed, I heard rumors about a year ago that the EEs would be released in late 2010, than that they would be released after The Hobbit movie(s) hit cinemas (or BDs). That means to add LOTR EEs to that list is really not confirmed.

Also Star Wars is confirmed for a september release, leaving only Jurassic Park as a confirmed title for the fourth quater.

And I have no idea where people are getting the IJ trilogy info from - frankly, I can't even find rumors of those movies being released this year. Who knows - I wouldn't mind if they did come out, of course - but I have seen nothing about their upcoming release to make me believe a release this year will be possible.

My money's on them coming out 2012 so Spielberg doesn't compete with Lucas for the catalogue money this year. They're good friends, so I wouldn't be surprised if they'd worked out the strategy together.

There was scuttlebutt last Spring that IJ trilogy would be released on Blu sometime third quarter 2010 - third quarter 2011, but with SW coming out, I'm sure that postpones it.

Jurassic Park talk broke when The Digital Bits reported on it earlier this week.

Yup, kept up with that part. I hate a lot of Universal BD's because I hate how often I have to see their stupid logo plastered everywhere, but I am looking forward to their catalogue releases this year.

Actually Lucas would be competing with Lucas as both are Lucasfilm property. The Indy Trilogy has been mentioned since 2008, when it was initially slated to be released at the same time as KOTCS. I haven't heard anything as far as Indy be released in 2011. If it does, and that's a big if, I would imagine Lucas releasing it around May/June, so that it doesn't compete with SW. We're also getting American Graffiti this year as well...

That's great news! That would have been an insult to SW.

I have never used them, as I only ever watch BD.

Just thinking that he was only 24 when he made THX-1138, the feature!
