Even the best Expanded Universe stuff had gigantic weapons involved in some capacity. You can't have 007 movie without a villainous lair.

If trusted sources inform me that Ep.9 is actually good then come blu-ray release day I'll bit torrent and watch it. If I like it enough I'll probably buy it but only when, like Force Awakens, it's £3 ($3.75usa) secondhand at Cex. Disney don't deserve any more of my money.

Palpatine, Luke, Ewoks, Tatooine, Death Stars, force ghosts, C-3P0, hundreds of Star Destroyers and a CGI Franken Leia. Yet us detractors are the ones obsessed with nostalgia? OK...

I want episode 9 to be the best Star Wars film ever. I want it to be amazing. I want it to prove me wrong and finally show that Disney can do Star Wars. However the mess Rian Johnson left in his wake coupled with JJ's poor track record regarding plot resolutions coupled with a lead cast I'm not interested in (especially boring old Rey) does not bode well.

LOL, hey I'm not saying the OT are golden children here. When these goggles see Leia and Han exit the Millennium Falcon only wearing face masks when they think they're in an asteroid - i laugh.

But maybe you do have a point, my love comes from the nostalgic way of telling a story, something these cash grabs are lacking.
