I am actually a little mad at George Lucas for not using these now:

Well what's strange is that the Gillard videos seem more similar to what we got in TPM and to a lesser extent AOTC. I guess George wanted to get more tight angles in ROTS for some reason, I guess to try to convey more emotion. Maybe he wanted to save all the impressive fight choreography for the final Mustafar battle.

Yeah, despite what some people say, George Lucas is always most interested in the story and the emotional journey of his characters.
I love listening to his commentary tracks of the films.

That extended Anakin/Dooku fight definitely looks impressive. I do wish Lucas had included it, especially if it included the Sith taunting him about his mother. That would tick anybody off, especially a loyal mama's-boy like Anakin.

George Lucas appreciation post for being one of the best things to happen to the film industry (as a net sum):

I got to meet Sam Witwer about ten years ago at a fan convention, and he seemed like a great guy. I'm glad that he supports Lucas so much, even if he didn't always agree with his creative decisions.

20th Century Fox Saturday was Star Wars Day!

For our 18th annual Star Wars Day, we went to a very recent friend's house. He heard about the all day event and offered us the use of his home theater! I'm typing a digital projector, a wall-sized screen, and reclining theater seats. Episodes I-VI have never looked and sounded like this during any marathon we've held before (and we thought our own HTs were rather impressive)! Our gracious hosts were surprised that they didn't have to contribute anything, and with how thoroughly we cleaned up after ourselves. There were even discussions about having marathons for "The Lord of the Rings" and "The Matrix" trilogies. Looks like we have a new spot for movie marathons!

I didn't ask, but it was definitely bigger than my 70 inch. I'd say that it was at least 100!

It was, and you gotta! Now that I finally got rid of that drop ceiling, it's actually possible now. The next time I upgrade my display, I'm getting a projector hung up and making a screen that takes up most of the wall.

I have mixed feelings about some aspects of what he did, but there’s no denying that Lucas completely altered the whole landscape of the film industry.

You don't have to point to one thing or one film or one person. Things happen gradually. It's like a need to talk in head-lines.

"AFTER SUNSET BOULEVARD THE FILM INDUSTRY WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN!"

"JAWS CHANGED EVERYTHING!"

"IRON MAN RUINED MOVIES!"

"KEVIN FEIGE IS THE WORST THING TO HAPPEN TO HOLLYWOOD!"

"CINEMA IS DEAD!"

"CINEMA IS BACK FROM THE DEAD!"

"NO, HANG ON! IT'S STILL DEAD!"

The ugly spectre of piracy is rearing its head on Ebay and Etsy.

It's astounding how these guys are getting away with this?? I've reported these listing several times and they keep coming back.

There's no extras on them either. My copies have something like 20 commentary tracks each and every single special spoof and outtake and making of you can think of.
