What does the Ultimate box set look like? Just curious as I only see the three posted. Is the Ultimate box set gonna get release on another date?

There's no such thing. The selections in the poll were hypothetical and made before any actual SKUs were announced. All we know we're getting are the CS, OT, and PT.

True! Something before that though.

It would be a short discussion on my part which would be too small for even Master Yoda to hold.

Aayla became a popular character with some mystique by George Lucas just painting a pretty girl blue?

Quick opinion poll - if someone is seeing the films for the *FIRST* time, which order should they watch them in?

A) 4,5,6,1,2,3
B) 1,2,3,4,5,6

My "opinion" is "A" FWIW... Not knowing the whole backstory gives more interest in 4-6 and then afterwards watching 1-3 fills out 4-6. Watching in order "B" totally margainalizes Luke and his voyage of discovery about himself and his family history. Also watching in "B" order makes the whole set about Anakin/Vader. Of course this is coming from someone who saw all the films on release date, putting me perhaps in a different generation of the kids today...

I would first watch them 1-6, then try this: 4, 5, 1, 2, 3, 6. The flashback effect, as it were.

Depends if you want to maintain the "I Am Your Father" surprise...

Though considering how ingrained it is in pop culture, even people who haven't seen the films know it.

It just depends how you want them to experience them. I say 1-6 frankly.

I agree order of release is the way to go, leave the correct order for a later marathon. And for everytime you watch a PT episode you must watch The Empire Strikes Back twice lol....

4,5,1,2,3,6

You get the surprise of "I am your father" then you jump back to a flashback of how it all began and learn exactly how evil the Emperor is and then see him meet his fate in Jedi.

I really like this order.

The only problem is that it ends with the friggin' Muppets In Space II.

Yes...imagine a complete re-edit where it jumps back and forth, like Godfather II and tells the story of son and father. By intercutting the stories, I'd bet the whole thing would work a lot better, although there'd be the issue of the disparity of film technologies used would be more obvious, especially puppet vs. CGI Yoda.

I showed the movies to my wife in 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3.

She was confused but that's really the best way to watch them.

1) Most people who see the OT after the PT decide that the lack of CG in the OT is a bad thing.
2) Why waste your time watching TPM when you could be watching ANH?
3) You could live your whole life not having seen the PT. The OT, however, is a must-see for everyone that lives on planet Earth.
4) Most people who see the PT first decide the OT is "old" and therefore isn't as good.

4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6.
I really like watching 3 & 4 in one sitting. It kind of makes ANH feel a little different than it used to (in a good way).

Dont like that....6 just feels like the end so watching 1,2,3 afterwards feels anticlimactic since you know the ending.

Yea i know people knew that the titanic sank but went to see the movie anyways....but thats me.

Theatrical release order is the way to go, 6 was kind of an open ending to me, with Luke coming into his own as a Jedi and the Empire not completely destroyed.

Theatrical release order all the way.

I'm not exactly a huge PT fan but it definitely had its moments and many of the best foreshadowed or explained events in the OT. I can't imagine getting as much out of those moments if you weren't yet aware of those events.
