Well in my case, about 99% of the time that I'm online my TV is on as well. That's how I know Spike is doing a SW marathon today, I'd probably watch it if I didn't despise commercials so much.

Double dipping on a DVD to buy a classic movie, which ends up looking like ass on a HD TV will do that to people.

Um, I'd say yes. Mono was the standard. After the 1950's and 60's practices of huge CinemaScope, Cinerama and 65MM films having multichannel soundtracks, the industry collapsed back to a single channel. Even big event films like Jaws were in mono. After being on few releases after being introduced with A Star Is Born (1976 Streisand version), Star Wars basically put Dolby Stereo on the map. Even then, it wasn't until the mid-1980s where you could count on a film being in stereo-surround.

Wow! I couldn't do that.
I don't even have a TV signal (Cable, Digital...). By choice, of course.

The only way I watch movies is Blu-ray, or sometimes cinema.

This way I watch what I want, when I want and how I want.

I can't stand commercial breaks either.

With BD I don't have to Hulk out anymore.

You don't watch movies while being online, do you?

I always turn off my computer whenever I watch a BD, so that it's perfectly silent in the room, except for the movie soundtrack, of course.

So? The DVDs are still compressed. They could, and should, do them justice were they to issue these on BD.

... *sigh* again, the case in point was that surround sound existed before he was in diapers and Star Wars offered it and not just mere 2 channels.

How do you watch sports without Cable/satellite. I like your point on movies, but there are Laker games and South Park, not to mention football.

I am only interested in movies and documentaries, and they will be released on BD someday, so no problem for me.

I have more than enough to do anyway.

I don't think the SW box set is going to be very costly!

BTW., which scenes do you think are going to be the audio highlights of the Saga???

The trifecta battle at the end of 1
Obi-Wan versus Jango Fett in 2
The double Sith versus Jedi duels in 3
Not sure on the ones in 4-6.

I would bet this would be the BIGGEST selling box set of all time.

I will definitely be pre-ordering this. I just hope the first 3 movies (which are episodes 4-6) get a real smooth HD upscale or I would be really disappointed.
