It seems the box set visual might be this:

Me likey (hope it'll be retained as the definitive visual)
I doubt it is the box art but I really like it. Very classy looking especially when compared to the horrendous DVD covers.

From thedigitalbits-

[IMPORTANT UPDATE: We've now heard back from OFFICIAL sources at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment who have informed us that this is NOT what the final Blu-ray box art for Star Wars will look like. Adjust your expectations accordingly!]

For clarification as well, the only reason I posted it was because it was figuring on the official blog of the European BDA

I kinda hope the final artwork would be in the same line, somewhat classy and simple, although not as baren as the classic LD box was (gold letters on black bgd).

No biggie.

I am glad you posted it as it brought more excitement back to the thread and brought it back on topic if only for a little while.

I also doubt that the official cover would be as redundant to say 'The complete STAR WARS saga' right beneth the words STAR WARS. It woud most like simply say the complete saga under the title or something more along those lines.

I know this is probably unknown at this point but anybody know what aspect ratio the box set will come out in? I know the blu-ray page says its 2.39:1, meaning it will be released in widescreen? (shitty if so, prefer my blu-ray's to be FS)

I'm sure they'll stick to 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen. Fullscreen is a term more widely used for 4:3 televisions although you do see it on widescreen specs from time to time. Unless you zoom in with your BD player which will cut of the sides off the image you'll have letterboxing of some kind on your 16:9 display.

Almost all bluray players have a ZOOM button. OAR is always best.

Problem solved.

No, they will have the entire frame and not have 25% of the picture cropped off.

FAIL! I know not everyone buys blu-rays for the purpose of experiencing a film at its highest potential and to appreciate it more, but damn come on. Part of appreciating a film is experiencing it the way the director intended, in its OAR. It astounds me that even after widescreen tvs have become the norm there are still some who don't understand OAR. It would be like chopping 25% off the Mona Lisa or any piece of art. Just don't do it. If you don't like the way it is GTFO. Not to rant, but this topic really irks me. This isn't all directed at you.

If SW was released on Blu-ray in "Fullscreen" as has been suggested I would not only not purchase the complete saga, as I am currently intending to do, but I would be pretty damn upset after having waited 5+ years for the films to make it to Blu-ray.

Thankfully, I think there would be a better chance of snow falling on Mustafar than there would be of LucasFilm changing the aspect ration of the SW films.

Calm down! I donīt think it was meant seriously...
I doubt anyone would actually wish for the blu-rays to be fullscreen, which is highly unlikely anyway.

On the other hand... people wish for the Theatrical Editions (UOT) while there are Special Editions of the movies. So now Iīm confused.

Oh, I know, I'm no taking the suggestion of fullscreen SW seriously. I just think it's ludicrous to even wish for it.

September is going to rock!

Calm down, boys.. your hard-on's are showing.
All I'm saying is I enjoy blu-ray's that are full screen ratio and was curious about how this one would be released, didn't mean to open up a shitstorm floodgate of rear mounting from the videophiles
