Very interesting. She's got a good artistic sensibility. And is spot on....

@VideoETA at the heart of the saga, it is about a boy and his father and thats what was depicted in the art.

No. I stated that to expect them to show you every second of every feature 4 months ahead of time was ludicrous.

Beast,

She's on the money. That's why the Saga box art is pretty damn great. Again, I would've loved a Struzan original but this will definitely do, compared to the DVDs.

Beast,

And she says the box art was concept art. I'm willing to bet it was concept art for a poster or something.

I'll buy* the original trilogy only if they are the un-tainted theatrical versions and not the tainted "special" editions. I want Lucas's taint nowhere near my Star Wars movies.

*note - from ebay, of course. I'll give my money to a stranger before Mr. Big Bucks any day.

So, is anything more other than some concept art and prouction photos going to be revealed on the site?

I know we also have the covers and some content details but anything else?

As it gets closer to its release, more will come out.

It's been confirmed that, at Comic-Con, we'll be getting more reveal of content.

That's basically two months before the box set is released.

Fact, I think it was like 1 /3 or 2/3 of his over fortune was donated to charity ... people can bash all they want but Lucas is a good guy. Yeah every Star Wars fan wants the UOT restored but just becase he hasnt done what one group of people want doesnt make him deserve all the bashing. I'm sure one day we will get the UOT but for now I'm just gonna enjoy what we are getting

So a lot of people are making claims about how they're not going to buy it because it doesn't have the theatrical cuts(well the re-release theatrical cuts anyway). I don't know, but for some reason I keep thinking about Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.

Not sure what the big complaints are. They gave us a pretty good idea what the content is going to be like on the discs.

Deleted scenes and "supplemental interviews" for the original trilogy are good enough for me.

For those worrying about the DVD features, it's still possible for them to appear on those two Archives discs.

They also have the vintage documentaries, which is pretty cool. A shame they didn't include From Star Wars to Jedi or Empire of Dreams, perhaps with the deleted interviews as bonuses. But oh well..

Do yourself a favor and order these with those excellent Making Of books, which are pretty extensive, more so than any documentary could be in a reasonable time.

Additionally, you are all forgetting the very fact that Harrison Ford didn't start out as an actor. If I recall correctly, Harrison Ford was a carpenter working on a movie set when a director, producer or someone approached him about standing in for a part on the first Star Wars film. It was here where they asked Harrison Ford if he wanted a part in the movie and eventually he agreed to it.

He had no acting experience and no education in acting either ... it was just a shock that fans took to his character and when Indiana Jones took off, he became one of the most demanded Hollywood actors in the business.
Not quite my friend. Read on...

Early career
In 1964, Ford traveled to Los Angeles, California to apply for a job in radio voice-overs. He did not get it, but stayed in California and eventually signed a $150 a week contract with Columbia Pictures' New Talent program, playing bit roles in films. His first known part was an uncredited role as a bellhop in Dead Heat on a Merry-Go-Round (1966). There is little record of his non-speaking roles (or "extra" work) in film. Ford was at the bottom of the hiring list, having offended Jerry Tokovsky after he played a bellboy in the feature and was told by Tokovsky, that Tony Curtis delivered a bag of groceries, he did it like a star. Ford felt his job was act like a bellboy. Ford managed to secure other roles in movies such as The Long Ride Home, starring Glenn Ford, George Hamilton and Inger Stevens

His speaking roles continued next with Luv (1967), though he was still uncredited. He was finally credited as "Harrison J. Ford" in the 1967 Western film, A Time for Killing, but the "J" did not stand for anything since he has no middle name. It was added to avoid confusion with a silent film actor named Harrison Ford, who appeared in more than 80 films between 1915 and 1932, and died in 1957. Ford later said that he was unaware of the existence of the earlier Harrison Ford until he came upon a star with his own name on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ford soon dropped the "J" and worked for Universal Studios, playing minor roles in many television series throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s, including Gunsmoke, Ironside, The Virginian, The F.B.I., Love, American Style, and Kung Fu. He appeared in the western Journey to Shiloh (1968) and had an uncredited, non-speaking role in Michelangelo Antonioni's 1970 film Zabriskie Point as an arrested student protester. Not happy with the roles being offered to him, Ford became a self-taught professional carpenter to support his then-wife and two small sons. While working as a carpenter, he became a stagehand for the popular rock band The Doors. He also built a sun deck for Sally Kellerman and a recording studio for Sérgio Mendes.

He was then hired to build cabinets at the home of George Lucas, who subsequently cast him in a pivotal supporting role for his film American Graffiti (1973). Ford's relationship with Lucas profoundly affected his career. After director Francis Ford Coppola's film The Godfather was a success, he hired Ford to expand his office and gave him small roles in his next two films, The Conversation (1974) and Apocalypse Now (1979).

That is a pretty terrible Complete Saga cover (almost as awful as the TRON cover from Disney), but since I don't give two farts about the prequels, I don't really care!

I have to agree with the previous statement that the Complete Saga artwork pretty much symbolizes everything that has gone wrong in the SW world post CGI. You give Lucas a few tools, some studio pressure, a modest budget, and you might get something special. You give him computers and all the money he wants to spend, and you end up with an incoherent mess built for consumption by five-year-olds.

Looking forward to the Original Trilogy in September! No UOT is a shame, but exactly what I expected. I imagine it will be a marketing tool to be included in the 'Complete 3D Saga' set.

Quick question, but I heard rumblings awhile ago that he would add more footage into the prequels like fixing yoda, and adding some deleted scenes.

Also the scene revealed with Luke constructing his lightsaber in the original is just a deleted scene correct? I wish that would've been in the movie itself!

We don't know for sure if there are more tweaks. But the Yoda puppet in E1 likely has been replaced by the CGI version.

As for the deleted scene, I'm glad that one wasn't kept in the film. It kinda robs the reveal of the Saber on the Skilff.

The cover art for the other two are kind of...weird. Not bad or anything, but they just look weird.

This is going on my list is on my list anyway and when Han shoots first in anamorphic then that will be on my list as well . Like most here, have brought this several times .It's part of the course. I think anyone who says they wont buy it because it doesn't contain uot should be subject to a federal search warrant.

This reminds me when Star Wars first came to DVD and people claimed they were not going to buy it and going to boycott it. I had a lot of friends say that to me but then the day it was released they ran right out and bought it. lol Many people who claimed the same thing online did as well...
