I'm waiting for it. Wouldn't surprise me to see those Cantina creatures and Jabba palace monsters "spruced up a bit", either.
God I hope Lucas would not destroy ART like that. Ummm errr.....nevermind. I don't really think George would change the puppet in TESB.

well on the topic if Changes I would like to see, fix those damn light sabers from A New Hope and yes replace the Yoda from Phantom Menace too. And restore the original Emporer scene in Empire Strikes Back make those three changes it will be perfect for me. Or you know dig up and restore some more lost/deleted scenes would be find too. I want more Star Wars in this set not less put in everything you can find Lucas and you will keep one fan happy.

The 2004 transfer was only scanned in 1080p as George thought this was good enough at the time, which solely for a DVD release was fine. If we get a new transfer and the colour timing is returned to how it always looked pre-2004 then i will be pretty happy with the blu-ray set. It's not too much to ask for really .
I'm with you on this. But I wonder if he will cheap out on this.

One change to the OT that I could see them doing (and even though I do want the UOT released, I would actually like to see this change occur to the 'altered' versions) is to just completely redo the light saber special effects in the OT. Out of most of the OT special effects, these are some of the ones that stand out most like a sore thumb, and he hasn't touched them yet, but has made changes to parts that had effects that were far less "dated" looking.

However, having said that, this is what worries me...

While the color timing issues have been picked apart over time, some of the problems aren't as blatantly noticeable as others. Some of the most noticeable ones are the light sabers, for example. What worries me is that if Lucas does redo the effects, then that essentially "erases" the problems caused specifically by the color timing to the original light saber effects. I fear that he might just "cheap out" on the coloring timing issue, and maybe just redo the saber effects and maybe "redo" a few other things that stand out a bit more than others, while otherwise leaving the bulk of the "less obvious to the average joe" problems otherwise in place.

I really hope that I'm wrong on this, but I get the suspicion that I may not be.

I posted this concern a while back in this thread. I have to believe the inevitable 3D versions are requiring some true restoration work and those might the optimal versions in terms of PQ even for 2D.

If they are using the 2004 materials, that will be disappointing as no scan from that period compares to the modern day ones we've seen (think Alien which looks incredible on BD).

Yes, this is one thing that keeps my hopes up about a new transfer. Surely they wouldn't use the 1080p 2004 transfers for the 3D conversions, would they?

Shoot, I forgot we all have to love every aspect of the PT or else we're deemed "haters". P.S. I think warnings should be given out for using the word "haters".

Re: the discs, don't I, II, and III all have different characters on the DVDs? I think IV, V, and VI all have early concept art.

You can't hate the Prequels, why not? Why does it deem bannings? So you can not like something to be on these boards? Then everyone by now should be banned, and for that matter all over the internet!

If it is anything like Alien Anthology then the early adopters should get a gate fold design, then a few months down the line it will swap over to a large amaray.

You're going to get banned. I got warning for just defending the prequels. So the opposite view deserves the same punishment. We aren't here to hear people complain about the PT.

On the discs. I like em. reason luke and anakin don't have one is because they are already on the cover..so it makes sense.

I wonder what the sleeves for the individual cases will look like. I am hoping for the original painted poster art on those myself

There are no individual cases. The complete saga is a book type, and the individual PT and OT art is the same as the slip covers. Or are you referring to the possible individoal release sometime down the road?

Did some Detective´s work and found something about Disc 7.
The german movie rating group (FSK.de) recently rated the features of Disc 7. They are called "the Collection: Episode 1", "the Collection: Episode 2" and "the Collection: Episode 3". I guess these are the summed up interview bits like we´ve already seen of Ewan (talking about his uncle who played Wedge in ANH) and John Williams (talking about Yoda´s musical theme).

The running time for these features are 35:30 for Episode I, 35:10 for II and 32:20 for III. I guess it will be about the same on Disc 8 for the others.

One other thing. I posted this before but never got an answer. In this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTI-2...ature=youtu.be) Promo-Trailer video for the SW Blueprints book coming out this year, there´s a Yoda shot at 0:27 which I haven´t seen before. Could it be out of a deleted scene?
