As far as all the "bridge the trilogies" nonsense...**** that. Seriously, **** it. If he wanted to make the prequels and OT feel more alike he'd do better to erase the monstrosity that was TPM.

In all seriousness though...the Prequels are what ****ed up the OT, not the other way around. THEY should be the ones altered, not the OT.
I'm just glad your here to tell us all how we think and why we spent our money on something. I'm sure Mr. Lucas is terribly hurt by your opinion of his movies.

I think Phantom Menace rules, which is MY OPINION, just like everything you
said is your opinion. There is zero fact in it.

That's what I was thinking. No way he would limit his market that way.

That sounds exactly like eps 4 and 5 that I watched on SPIKE-TV a couple of days ago.

We need some kind of announcement already! We could all be wasting hours
of our life talking sh*t about something that isn't going to happen.

I will have to blow up a planet or something if that happens.

Surely they will announce something at Comic-Con or more likely at Celebration V in August.

I think we'll get a hint at Comic-Con and an official announcement at Celebration.

Actually, that should say, "I hope" LOL. Or it could be for the same events - next year.

If the 3D thing is true, they'll expect a double-dip for it.

The box set that is believed to be coming out will be the 2-D set, and if they do the 3-D ones it won't be till well after they hit the theater. They will want to milk that as long as they can at $15+ a ticket.

Not to mention, 3D is still too new (even next year) and GL would never think about releasing his movies again in 3D format until there's far more 3DTV penetration in the home market.

I want the super-duper ultimate box set.

The original unaltered trilogy is the definitive trilogy

The original remastered trilogy is really nice to have

The prequel trilogy is a bit meh...but in for a penny, in for a pound.

I think Episode III is highly underrated. The only thing that hurts it is the fact that I and II are pretty bad compared to the original trilogy.

Funny thing is, the opposite effect happens to be the case with VI (Jedi). It's easily the weakest of the original trilogy, but IV and V are just so good that they shine some light on it.

IMO, any movies not filmed for 3D will be let downs when released, just like many of the recent theater presentations!

The prequel trilogy just doesn't do it for me...but I was 6 years old when "Star Wars" (none of that "new hope" mularky back then) hit the UK cinama's back in 1977, this new series of movies was always going to be the red headed step child to the original generation that was blown away by the original trilogy.

I was 6 as well. So I guess that makes us the same age. Cool.

I would only buy the original trilogy on bluray. If the other versions are forced on me I would never buy them just like i never bought them on dvd.

Oh please, what kind of fan are you - it's a garbage/trash compactor, not "smasher".

Cripes what film were you watching!

*My opinion...please don't let it ruin your day*

I would gladly take all 6 movies on blu-ray. I prefer the changes in the OT because it flows much better with the prequels. Episode I really needs a remastering.

That's what I am afraid of!

I really hope that this will mean a double dip, and not a LONG wait until he thinks the Saga is ready for a release in 3-D and skip the 2D altogether, but that wouldn't make much sense business wise, so I doubt it will happen.

First the complete Saga on BD in 2D, and much later the 3-D versions is the preferred way!

Bring them on!!!! I need my SW fix now!!!!
